    Hi Chitra,

I would appreciate if you could share the reciepe of puri's for the pani puri.

I have tried almost every recipe of puri's for pani puri but they never remain crispy.

I had read it somewhere that u mix maida and rava and knead it with soda, but this didnt work. Then somewhere it was said that knead maida n rava the normal way n then grind it before making puris, but this too never worked.

I want to master the art of making these puri's can you help me.

Thanks in advance for your tips.

Hi, living in India, it is esier to buy a pack of golgoppas from shops rather than take the trouble of making them. Honestly, I have never tried.
Please search for golgoppas under punjabi recipes in Google.
Sorry for not being able to help you.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Hi Chitra Mom,

How are you now? Though didn't comment here,I was thinking for you (atleast when I enter the kitchen) and praying for your speedy recovery.U reminds me of my mom in many cases.

Tried many of your dishes recently.Jiffy carrot rice,Jain methi tomato pulav,Channa-palak,Carrot poricha kuzhambu,Udupi sambar etc.All were superb.Even my spinach hater husband told me that the taste of Channa-palak is divine.

Your tip of adding grated carrot paste instead of coconut in curries is really really great mom. It's really a boon to me now a days especially for sambar, moru curry and avial.Nobody can tell that the curry doesn't contain coconut.

Will be back with more feedbacks.

Get well soon and Take care.Hugs...

    lots of love and prayers,
    Deepthy

    Dear chitra aunty:)

How are you now? Hope you are fine now.

Aunty my dd just loves (south indian jilebi) the orange juicy ones like the one in saravana sweets/lala sweets. today while browsing she saw a picture of the sweet and she is after me to make it for her...i know how how confident:spin i am in cooking and i will go for a toss if i try to make something and does not come out well. i have just bought them from shops and enjoyed.

I looked out for the recipes in your threads but :hide: could not locate.

I think it will take days to even go through the names of the recipes you have posted.... Can you help me out ?

a big handshake and :bowdown to you ... :thumbsup

    Take care

    KalChetti

    Hello,

I am laxmi, a new member at this forum.
I read your discussion about eeya chombu and kal chetti.

I have a question. Are these safe to use on an electric cooking range/stove?
I will really appreciate it if you can share your experience.

    Thanks

    Laxmi

    Hi,
Since I use a gas stove for my cooking completely, I am not competent to answer your query.
    Love,
    Chithra.
