Husband inside labor ward?

    A genuine doubt and to my knowledge upon request the husbands are let inside the delivery room... This has become very common in India these days cos the doctors as well as others do understand that husbands do have to take an equal part in child birth and bringing up babies!!! In Coimbatore, Tamilnadu @ Rao hospital the husbands were let into the delivery room almost a decade back... I guess again you have to talk to the attending doc and/or try requesting ahead!!!

    Neha - Ya these days they are allowing Dh inside labour room if requested earlier.. Let them know before itself that she want her Dh with her like.. My good luck for her !

    In few hospitals, dh is allowed to stay with their wife in labour room. So don't worry.

    Sure this shouldn't be a problem in appollo.Coz now-a-days small nursing homes too encourages this habit.better you check with them asap so as to avoid last minute tensions.All the best

    Oh yeah Apollo First Med does allow husbands in. Thats where I gave birth to both my kids , my GYN Dr. mallika SAmuel infact thats the primary reason I selected first Med then.

    BETTER HAVE YOUR HUBBY & MOTHER AROUND.. thats my plan.. Hubby for the life long support and understanding of our pain & MOTHER for maternal support.. who better that will understand our fears and pains.
