    Curry Puff

Some say the Curry Puff was inspired by the Indian samosa, others say it was inspired by English Cornish pastries.

    Crazy cake (Eggless, butterless)

I got this recipe long time ago and have used it with great success. I have even added nuts and raisins and omitted the cocoa powder for a white cake successfully. Don't be scared of the vinegar - you cannot taste it. It's there because you need an alkali and an acid to do the action of eggs.

    Happy baking!<CONCORDANCE-BEGIN />
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 2 cups white sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons baking soda
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 2 cups cold water
<CONCORDANCE-END />Sift flour, sugar, salt, soda, and cocoa together into a 9 x 13 inch ungreased cake pan. Make three wells. Pour oil into one well, vinegar into second, and vanilla into third well. Pour cold water over all, and stir well with fork.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes, or until tooth pick inserted comes out clean. Frost with your favorite icing.

    Egg Replacer

You can convert any egg recipe to eggless recipe by using a regg replacer

You can also buy Ener-G Egg Replacer for all your baking needs. It is available in stores like Whole Foods in the U.S. It is made from Tapioca and is a powder. It is an excellent substitute for eggs in baking. You just add some warm water to the powder and use it instead of egg in any recipe.

You could also use bananas as egg substitutes: Substitute 1/2 of a mashed ripe banana plus 1/4 teaspoon baking powder for each egg. But remember that you will have a banana flavor in your final product
