This is to formally stop the pooja. If the day is not Friday or Tuesday, you can throw the water where it will not be stamped on. This remedy was given by a very old astrologer to my grandma who taught me. It is very effective. A small act of charity for Kethu Dasai includes feeding young boys (preferably students) under 21 years. Age is important. Over the seven years, at many times, I could not do any of these remedies. Just thinking of MahaGanapathy and submitting to His Grace will cause us much relief. Goodluck! Remembr, Sukra Dasai comes after kethu Dasai! The horrors of Kethu will soon be forgotten.[/quote]

Really its very informative thread. I have a doubt. After 12 days puja of Ganpati (Kethu Dasa), we have to throw the water where it will not be stamped on. Where to place the Ganesh idol? Should it be placed in pooja self or any other place. plz tell me I m waiting.

Dear Vidhya , Shashu, Thanks for the slokas. Ganesha was my all time favourite. But my MIL is a ardent krishna devotee she throws away even the smallest ganesh picture i keep in our pooja room. So ganesh ji is confined to my handbag and dress cupboard. Started the slokas posted by both of you from today. Hoping to get some blessings of pillayar and would really love to get few of his idols like you dear shashu. Thanks Gayathri
