    Shravani,

First of all, Congratulations on the purchase. A Maruti will serve You for long with its extended service network across the country.

Allow me to assume You havent driven much earlier in any car.
Maintanence is very easy in new-age cars and You have very little thing to worry about.

    1) Always fill petrol from a reliable petrol pump and try to fill from the same pump always - the adulteration factor, if at all, would remain the same and Your engine would feel smooth
    2) Always ensure the car tyres have the right pressure - check once a week
    3) Until Your first service is complete, dont go past 80kph at all
    4) Always drive at a safer speed and use engine braking (dab the brake pedal slowly without pressing the clutch and when You feel the engine is gonna die, then clutch it)
    5) Dont ever drive Your car when theres water logging (even one feet of water could do harm to the engine)
    6) When parking under a very hot sun, close the window glass leaving 1/2 an inch to the top (helps minimize heat buildup)
    7) Dont park under a tree (ever)
    8) Always engage hand-brake when parking or stopping up/downhill
    9) Switch-off the engine at a signal only when the waiting time is more than 60 seconds
    10) Dont run fans/radio for more than 5 mins after switching off the engine

    11) Follow all Your service schedule diligently and get the service done from the same service centre (helps You in the long run).
    12) Get wheel alignment and balancing done every 5000 kms (atleast)
    13) If You havent opted for Extended Warranty, please take it before Your warranty expires.

If You need more info, feel free to write back.
Congrats again and Drive Safe, Wear Your seat-belts too :)
