Ladies, Rithik is passing stools every 5-6hrs once right when he stepped home... A day since am noticing thin stools(was little thick before).. is there anything to worry about? I checked with my mom & DH and they said not a problem.. Babies will pass thin stools also? Not too watery and all..
anitha, loose stools is perfectly normal with bfed babies. so relax. they are right , there isnt anything to worry
Babies should have loose stools(soft ones),not thickery one until they start on solids. If he is not straining much for stools,it is perfectly normal and that too as you said it is only 5-6 hrs ,so it is good.
thnx poo & manju ! one more question- i was having a doubt reg his stools and today i clearly found out when i was changing diaper he immediatedly started passing stools and it was little watery stools.. it looks like loose motion for me.. but at the same time it is too watery.. am little confused only just once its greenish in colour..
watery stools is also fine anitha unless he is constantly passing watery stools all the time, then that should be of concern... u should only be concerned if theres a lot of mucus in stools, or blood in stools.... etc.. just relax
if you are breast feeding, the number and type of stools vary day to day... it will be erratic..... my seven month old has come into a routine from the past 2 months only.... pls, be worried if the colour is green everytime...... and also see to that your LO in not dehydrated..... keep feeding....
Watery stools is ok.Is it once in 2 hr or 5 hrs?As long as he is not passing continuously it is fine.
thnx ladies... he seems to be fine.. manju - he is passing watery stools(not always) but every 5-6hrs once and it is green in colur sometimes.. i will watch more and will keep you posted again!!
anitha, is the color greenish yellow or just green? If it stays green, he may be lactose intolerant and you'd need to cut out dairy from your diet for a few months. talk to your ped. and see what they say. btw heartiest congrats to you and dh on rithik's first month birthday ... I am sure you must be very happy! wishing him many more happy birthdays for the future!
