Dear LAdies, I got a good job offer and am moving to Rome for 1 year with my family (husbd and kid). Can anyone help me out with the following - 1) What should I carry with me to Rome (utensils, groceries etc) 2) Rental rates in Rome 3) Anyother info I need to know. Would also appreciate if someone tells me about the workculture, dress culture etc. I heard that many people don't speak English, how do I learn Italian in a month? Any advice, suggestions are welcome Thnks
hi, try livemocha.com for italian. its not a great website but u can learn basics. after grasping basics, try to give some certification/course in the language. anyway, u can try contacting ur company HR(who has given u offer) and asking them all these details. they might be able to help you too. good luck.
Thanks NEha for the help. E Even after waiting so many days I haven't received any response from members in the Europe and Western Europe forums too. Quite disappointing. Appreciate ur help.

Congrats! I think utensils is not the issue only some indian spices & pulses that u have to carry. Regarding the language ,i think in the company u naturally have some english speaking staff & while working u will know the most commonly used. And there are so many site of language conversion. when u go u also do some course or take some basic lesson if possible here or there.
