Re: what do u like about pune

    Hi Friends,

We moved to pune in oct '04. And ever since have lived in Kalyani nagar.

The best thing i like about pune is its weather. Earlier having lived in Mumbai for 11 yrs and before that in Cochin. Also kalyani nagar being away from city is a small and well equiped suburb (if i can call that) away from the hustle & bustle of the city life.

I haven't got a chance to go about much in pune. But here the areas of interest to visit are more of forts and temples.

Hill stations like, lonavala, khandala are about an hours drive from pune. Mahabaleshwar and panchgini are about 2-3 hrs drive. There are lots of treks around pune.

For shopping you can go to traditional places like laxmi road and tulsi bagh or you can visit the n number of malls that have come up.

Now there is new place called "Chokhi Dhani" its a chain started first from Jaipur. This is off nagar road towards wagholi. A nice outing for the family.

Anyone having more info on places of interest to visit in pune....be it anything spiritual, entertaining etc. please share with us.

    Warm regards
    Roopa.
