Hi, I am a B.E. having around 10 yrs of experience in the software industry. I am thinking of switching over to the teaching profession. I am not sure what is the qualification required and what would be the salary and work timings. If someone can throw some light on this, it would be very helpful Thanks Aniyaa.
Aniyaaa usually well establoshed schools will askfor BEd and MEds....but some schools take graduates who have capability and confidence in teaching (this is as per my knowledge).... Approach any near by local school and ask whether they have any vacant teaching positions... best of all you can try as a COMPUTER TEACHER you would surely be taken in..however to get into big or well established reputed schools you need to have BEd / MEd....
Hi Ladies, I am also planning to switch to teaching profession. I have around 10 yrs of Industry experience and mostly I would want to work in a college. I have done my Masters in Computer Applications. Any idea how to go about it. Also wanted to know what is the qualification required if you want to be the HOD of the CS department in any Engineering College???
As per my knowledge A person with B.E needs M.E to be a lecturer in any Engineering College. Otherwise, can join as an assistant and perceive their M.E in the same college. A person with MCA needs an M.Phil to be a lecturer in any Arts & Science or Engineering college.
Now-a-days there are too many restrictions for getting into teaching profession, so as to recruit right candidates. 1. M.phil is mandatory in almost 90% of instituitions that too who had done "M.Phil" through regular stream sure not through distance education 2. Passing or NET or SLET is another eligibility ... some might not have done M.Phil so they better write-up this NET/SLET exam conducted by UGC...If you have an M.Phil and also passed this exam then :cheers
Hi Cindhuja, Do you have any more info about NET or SLET and how to go about it. I need the info for my sis.
