    Dear ALPA,
    We are moving to the capital Male'(y) here. And yeah! there is a gym. Even i would like to do a course on fitness and work as a fitness instructor..let us see. i think we will be shifting next week.
    Dear Bambli all the best for you to attain your goal. How to prepare this ragi urundai or koozhu.?

    I also do Kezhvaragu Kanji/Koozh or Ragi Porridge just using Ragi Flour.

    Ragi Soup(Kezhvaragu Kanji) - Indian Vegetarian, Non-vegetarian, Chicken, Fish recipes with pictures for children too

    Some people will add little bit of rice to do the ragi mudde or
    ragi porridge. Of course its taste better.

    Since i don't eat rice, i just do the mudde or porridge using Ragi Flour only.
    Its low in GI and keeps me full. Normally I ate ragi mudde with thick yogurt
    or curry... For porridge i will mix it with yougurt, raw onion and salt.
    I just drink it for lunch, taste good and gives me a lot of enegry.

    Friends,

    I have reduce 0.5kg this week (dieting from sat-tues).
    Must work harder !

    Here is my log for 06/07/2009

    Food log :
    05.30 - fenugreek + Honey + 2 glass of hot water
    08.00 - 1 glass of Kezhvaragu koozh (ragi mudde mix with yogurt, raw onion & salt)
    11.00 - apple
    13.00 - 1 small bowl of Nestle Fitness Bran & Fruits with 1 cup of low fat milk (no appetite, so took the cereal)
    15.00 - pear
    19.00 - 1 cup of tea + 1 handful of pumpkin seed

    Exercise - 20 minutes of body combat
    Drink 3 litres of warm water.

    first join the gym there and see what difference it does to you, to be a fitness trainier needs years and years of work, so right now dear concentrate on your body and make your bosy fit

    try loosing only 0.5 kg a week only it is better that way then loosing 2 kg in a week

    Thanks a lot for the links. I should also try this ragi. I think i will like this kanji. During the month of "Aadi" in India, Chennai,i have tasted this ragi koozh with mochai , brinjal, kulambu and murunga keerai. Very tasty.

    Dear Nilaa,

    instead of becoming a trainier become a clinical nutritionist and get a degree ad nwork with hospitals and with gyms as well it will really make a difference in peoples life giving them tips on healthy living and you can train at the gym as well.
    if your husband is a doctor he can guide you too, my dear follow your dreams i am not laughing at you infact you motivate us.

    Dear Nilaa,

    Here is Malaysia, we also will have ragi porridge in all Amman temples during month of Aadi. Last time i don't like to drink it but now i love it... especially when i mix with homemade fresh yogurt with raw onion. yummy.. it's really taste good.. 36_2_25.gif
    the raw onion gives the sweet taste and crunchiness... i don't mind drinking it for all my three meals... but it's not good to take for dinner since its very cooling, worried i might get flu.

    Enjoy your Ragi Porridge yaaa...
