    Dear Bhargavi,

    I have seen this thread many times, but went thru it only today. I am a devotee of Sri Pratyangira Devi from a distance, when I am in a crisis I think of Her and feel strengthened instantly. That apart have not chanted any slokams etc.

    The pictures are really nice. Do you have them in your pooja room?

    In Trivandrum, there is a Mahalakshmi temple with a separate important shrine for Sri Pratyangira Devi. The Devi is manifested as a huge fresco which is absolutely stunning it Its beauty and strength. The Pratishtai is according to the rules for Devi worship in Kerala.The Devi is enshrined in a VaaL (sword), KaNNadi (mirror), and peedom (stool, seat).

    The most important rituals here are doing pradakshinam of the Devi 12 times with a coconut in hand and then breaking it. A Homam is also performed on Amavasya Days.

    The temple is in Brahmapuram, Sasthamangalam, Trivandrum.

    First of all thanks a lot for your information.I came to know now only that prathyangra temple also resides in Brahmapuram, Sasthamangalam, Trivandrum.Actually i have a photo of Maha Varahi (one more deity in prathyangra temple)in my pooja room.I have a only a small photo of prathyangra devi.That is why i am not able to give clearly.Chitvish has posted a photo asking whether to give a pdf version.We can ask her to give it.It is great that you have conveyed your true feelings,i repeat the words .

    You have even patiently written abt the speciality of Homam,what is done,what is special and different in trivandrum.Great:2thumbsup: .Keep it up.In chennai temple the deities are indirakshee,(i have even given a mantra for curing illness)Maha varahee and even some more.Thank you once again for your feedback.

    Thank you for such a nice reply. I really liked going thru this thread. I also liked the Indrakshee chant and Sree Prathyangira Moola Mantram that you have given.

    I am a bit scared to keep the pictures in my pooja room. Both my flat and mom's house are open houses, many relatives (teen age girls) come,so we cannot enforce any purity.

    I hope to visit Brahmapauram temple very soon, will definitely say a prayer for you too in front of Sree Pratyangira Devi. if u come to TVM; I will be most happy to take you there. I have made it a mission to take other devotees there and have already taken a few.

    Bhargavi, do you have any information about Baby Sastha (Bala Sastha) temples in Kerala?
