ABOUT LIFE​

Life is a pleasure,
Greet it with a smile,
Friendship is a treasure,
Keep it all the while.​

Our business in life is not to
Get ahead of others, but to get
Ahead of ourselves- to break
Our own records, to outstrip
Our yesterday by our today.​

Life is a pack of cards-
When you’re in love, it’s’ hearts’
W en you’re engaged, it’s ‘diamonds’
When you’re married, it’s ‘clubs’
When you’re dead, it’s spades ​

Learn to make the best of life,
Lose no happy days,
Time will never give thee back ,
Chances swept away,
Leave no tender word unsaid,
Love while life shall last,
The mill will never grind again,
With waters of the past.​

May your life be arithmetic,
Your joys added,
Your sorrows subtracted,
Your pleasure multiplied,
And your worries divided.​

May your life have a purity of water,
And flow of a calm stream.​

Always remember to do these three things in life,
Drink, lie and steal.
Drink from the fountain of knowledge,
Lie on the bed of success,
And steal away from bad company.​

I've collected various poems about life and I want to share them with you. I'm grateful to those who had created these verses. I had only compiled them and there are few more to be shared.
