    Dear Chitra,

this week's post makes a very interesting one -
beautiful phrases like, We want to know the religion which helps us to discover our dormant vitality and inner strength to face life’s challenges and True religion is the science that provides us a new inward courage of conviction to live honestly and serve others and lot others scattered alll over makes it very interesting.
scientists and rishis made an interesting comparison - human is tooooo intricate a being to study and come up with perfect results.
Like the saying goes, there's just one thing common among humans - they are all different.
Now, is it possible for you to share some of the techniques explained by Shri Shankara, Shri Ramanuja and Shri Madhwa. would love to hear on that - if possible. I can understand how intense that would be so if it's possible pls do share some thoughts on techniques.

In recent years there's lot of debate on the word, Hinduism and lot of them do tell it was coined by teh foreigners. Unfortunately, according to the foreigners, Hinduism meant anything negative like, polytheism, idol worship, caste, poverty, extremism, weakness, conservatism, etc.
and anything positive like art, yoga, conservation, tolerance, pluralism, music, dance, spirituality - is seen as separate from "Hinduism".

I heard some of americans have even come up with something called, christian- yoga so it doesn't have the Hindu tag. anyway, that's about hinduism.

    Dear Chithra,

Very interesting and insightful article...yet another gem from you. I've always wondered if Bhagvad Gita was a religious exposition or not (I've never read it fully...only know the situation in which Lord Krishna is said to hv recited the same to Arjuna). Your article has indeed clarified my thoughts.

How do you manage to explain such complicated topics in such simple ways!! Amazing...:)

Ever since I started following your threads on Religion and Spirituality, I am becoming more aware of the greatness of our culture and country! Living in London, I have faced questions pertaining to our culture and about Bhagvat Gita also from some of my English colleagues here !!! Now I can be more confident while answering, I guess :)

Do you have a good picture of Gitopadesha....? I searched on the Internet but was not satisfied somehow, with the images. If you hv sthg, please can you post it whenever possible. I want to take a printout of it and keep it at my home.

    Thanks and love
    Pavithra

    Dear Malathi,
Thankyou very much for joining us here.
It is nice to know tat you are familiar with the Gita.
Yes, we can relate to every chapter of the Gita, provided we have the maturity for the same !
I would use the phrase Art of living than way of living !
    Love,
    Chithra.
Since there is one Chitra in I L, remember to call me Chithra !

    Dear Pavithra,
Thankyou very much for your feedback.
Pray God, I deserve the praise you have kindly showered on me !
I am going to Gita classes ( note, not lectures, which makes all the difference, in my opinion!) for the past 12 yrs & am on my second round. I now realise, in the first round, more things have gone above my head rather inside my head!
So, in the second round, I am enjoying the learning part of it & more, the sharing part with all of you in this forum.
I am posting a photo of Gitopadesham jpeg file , as well as a pdf file in the next 2 posts.
    Love,
    Chithra.
The pdf file exceeds the prescribed limits for attachment. So, if anybody wants the same, please PM me your e mail id & I ashall send.

Thankyou very much for your feed back.
I now realise that I derive as much pleasure in sharing my thoughts with all of you, as on attending the classes. I can see that I am becoming an over attentive student !

    Stay tuned, Sudha.

    Dear C,

I was also thinking that the teachings of Gita are too heavy and my one or two attempts to try comprehending (may be I should say reading) were futile. But you are truly coming out with simple explanations that I want to know more and more.

Will wait eagerly for the next post.

    Dear Chitrajan,
Welcome to this forum with your feedback.
The Gita, in my personal opinion ( I am likely to be wrong!) is best not self-taught. Our doubts can never be cleared. Now, please don't jump to the conclusion that I plan to teach you Gita. No. I am just sharing my thoughts with you so that you will realise the charm, beauty & utility of the Gita.
With the blessings of my teacher, I do this, very much within my limitations!
I plan to call you Chitrajan to avoid confusion between our names !
    Love,
    Chithra.
