Re: Gift Idea for family in India

    Dear loving mom,

    1. kids--If under 3years, there are lots of toys from hopper balls(it is a real fun as the kids love it verymuch),barbies for girls, dress(specially scooters for girls-we don't get this in india),outer coats, wands for girls,)

    2.ladies--handbags, pearlsets,corals,watches,bodysprays

    3.men --watches, T.shirts,pda phones...,perfumes

    4.elders-bp monitors,knee caps, watches

5.Common--digital photo frames, cameras, phones, portable dvd players

inexpensive very useful items---beach bags(we get in ross costs around 6$),ziplock covers, Handbags, leather phone pouches., nonstick flat pans.

Hope i have done some justice.

In the above items, beach bags and handbags and digital photo frames are really worth buying.

    Hi Surya,
What is the type of coffee grinder that you got to India? Is that manual or electric. If electric, did u change the voltage here or bought a converter there in India? Could you please help me with the brand?

    Thanks
    Priya

    More ideas:

Educational PC programs for kids (theyare really expensive last I saw in India)

Multipurpose tool for men (Google Weatherman and look for cheaper ones if that is too expensive)

    Santukos (type of kitchen knife)

Pecans, maple syrup candies, dried cranberries

    Herbal teas like Celestial Seasonings

Cockroach hotels (insecticide in little containers safe for households) (I know this is weird but my friends like these)

    Notepapers/cards

Things I collect to give out when travelling in India: McDonals toys, little free gifts that come in boxes of other stuff, free cards from charities

    Hi ,
I want to gift my MIL a chopper/blender . I initially thought of magic bullet, but it has so many jars and it occupies space. So can you suggest some kitchen gadgets for me please.
I see some mixed reviews for Oster 3-in-1 hand blender (target - 39.99) . i dont know if it is worth it.

My sister once got a braun grinder that has attachments to blend in a jar as well as grind and beat eggs. This was much helpful for my mom. Just giving a idea.
