Bye bye Winter! Welcome Spring!!

    Spring starts officially in this part of the world today!! :)


    Here are some quotes for the Spring season..


    "Spring would not be spring without bird songs."


    "When spring comes the grass grows by itself."


    "No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. "


    Hip hip hurray! Gone are the long dark nights and with delight we welcome long hours of light for the next 6 months!! :yes:

    The tree behind our backyard is in full bloom with white flowers and is a real sight to see!! Couldn't help but admire the beauty of nature.


    Like clockwork, the leaves & flowers start blooming in the Spring, it is in full bloom during Summer, then they start falling during Autumn (Fall) and in Winter they are totally dried up. And once again the cycle starts all over again in Spring!!


    Wanted to share some pictures with you all...


    Would really appreciate if you could also add pictures from your part of the world during this fantastic season!!


    P.S. Can somebody identify the name of this tree and the flowers please!!

    Honestly dear, I don't know the name of this tree/flowers and I am not sure whether they are the Cherry blossom flowers.

    Probably other IL'ites can throw more light into this. :)

    Still not sure about the cherry blossom since those flowers appear a bit more round and have a purplish tint..right?

    I will be jumping with joy if it is cherry blossom!! :)

    Lovely pictures..thanks for sharing!

    If you notice the trees look different from my picture. It is absolutely cherry blossom in your pictures, but as for my tree, I am not sure still...

    Btw, when is the cherry blossom festival at DC? Do you know the exact date for this year?

    Yay! Lets welcome the spring.There is something really special about a warm spring morning, the morning sun streaming in thorugh the windows, my simple sky blue cotton nightie...I just get up, stretch myself, walk to the windows and start singing hai mera dil .I just walk around the house humming, all smiles, being all lovey-dovey to the husband.I also blow some flying kisses to him which sees him jumping out of the bed to catch them.

    Today, officialy the first day of spring
    and that itself makes me sing

    The sun making its way
    I want to put on some music and sway

    Such freshness in the air
    oh how I love this spring affair

    It is going to be a bright day
    and I want the spring to stay.
