    Friends,

Arthur Hailey is one of my favourite authors and hence I am starting a thread to discuss about him and his books. I am adding a poll to go along with this thread. Did I miss any of his books? The only book I haven't read is "Overload". After much struggle, I got a copy of this book and will be reading it pretty soon!

    Hi Bharthi,

Tthe first books that I read when I began serious reading were those of Arthur Hailey's. I like the way his novels revolve around a theme (airport, hospital, etc) and the soft romance in the books. When I saw your polls, I realised that I have missed out a few of them - will check them out. Tell me, what is the theme behind 'Overload'?

    Happy reading,

    Cheers,

    Sumathy

    Hai Bharathi,

I have also read Arthur Hailey a lot. But it is a long time back. Now I will have to brush up if there is going to be a discussion. In fact for my job interview they had asked me about him and "Hotel". I got the job also. So I will surely enjoy the posts. Thank you.

    Regards,

    Abha.

    Hi,

I started reading Arthur Hailey during my college days, but I enjoy reading his novels even now. I have read all the novels in the voting list but for Evening News . Of all the books in his series, I liked "Hotel" very much and have revised it twice or thrice. He is such a fantastic writer who throws light on all aspects of the field chosen in the particular nove.:wave

    Keep smiling.

I like all Arthur Hailey's books. My most favoiurite is Airport. In every book he does a lot of homework about the topic he he deals and studied a lot about that subject. It does not look like drab report at the sametime....beautiful story embedded with all the human emotions. That is the beauty of his books. Generally if we read an author's one book other books also sound similar. But in the case of Hailey every book is unique.

Me too a fan of books by Arthur hailey few of which turned into movies I believe.
I read overload another enjoyable suspence then that invisible numbering to identify the culprit - that was nice about plan to sabotage to the power generator underneath huge dam etc
I read last a book based on auto industry. Title you could guess.
Am glad that some of my followers are also read Hailey's books. I liked books authored by IRWING wallace , Jeffrey Archer too. Kane and Abel a lovely super stout book I read 3 to 4 times. Random pages some times. Very gripping family novel.
    Regards.
