Dear Laxmi I think I am late in replying to this thread. I saw this only now. I had a surprise party for my birthday, in my office and in my contract bus. In the office all our colleagues had gathered and a cake was ordered and snacks distributed. In the bus we were celebrating Independence day and my birthday falls on 19th August . Morning snacks were distributed and in the evening to my surprise they had brought a cake and they all celebrated my birthday. My brother and bhabhi took to me to restaurant. For my 60th birthday myclose friends took me to Hotel. My children also celebrated my60th Birthday.
Dear Laxmi, Nice Poll!!! ... Ofcourse, Everone likes surprises not only as a birthday party even for gifts :biggrin2: ... My hubby always gives me surprises me on our Wedding and Birthday ... Last year, my hubby and kids surprised me with a Cake and a lovely gift ... He took us out and we had a very nice time ... He gave me a surprise Dinner in a Chinese Restaurant (as I like chinese very much) ... The day was full of Surprises ... My eyes filled with tears ... He expressed his love very beautifully on me this way ... Actually, he didn't present me the gift first and he said that he forgot to buy a gift for me .. And, I said its okay don't worry ... you remembered to wish me that is more than enough ... to my surprise he presented me suddenly with a lovable hug ... :wow: ... Regards, Suni ...
On my last b'day my husband and niece planned a surprise party for me at home. It was very difficult for them as i am around the house everywhere and there is no nook or corner which is away from my eyes except my niece' room. But lucky enough for them i had an appointment that day and wa away from home for about 4 hrs. They couldn't do anything elaborate in that time as it was a working day too. since we don't have too many friend in pune and absolutely no family here they invited about 20-25 member from our office who are close to me and a couple of neighbours who are cloe to us. Everyone wrote something for me in a chit and all these chits were tuck on a chart paper like a collage and preented to me. Also the colleagues had bought a nice flower vase and a floral wall frame. But the ambience with so much warmth all around specially for the staff as for them it was the boss throwing a surprise party for his wife and they being a part of it. It was really a great moment.
aah you lucky girl roopa my husband says that he hates surprises...and so he doesnt like to surprise me too.....anyways...my birthday has always been a very legendary event..for good or for bad...so no complaints... before marriage it was really a great time ..my parents and friends always surprised me in ways i never expected actually...really really sweet surprises.... after marriage its become like a routine thing for me..and these days i dont even bother any more ..
malspie me too....I always ensure that no matter whatever it is...I try to give surprise gifts to all my family and friends too...i think gift giving is one way of showing our love and affection towards the other person when saying it with words is not possible...and to add to it..i love to give meaningful gifts so that they can really use it...not just for the sake of giving it...when buying gifts i ensure and keep in mind that if i get such a gift will i use it or not...if i dont use it..i wont gift that to anyone...
