Hi Malathi(jagan), Another good poem, enjoyed this one too. I also like this calm dawn you have described. I am not an early riser, but at times, when I wake at this specific time, I find a peace and silence that is so soothing. And I resolve to wake at this time daily. Is this Ushakkalam ? regards Vidya
Dear Malathi, Your poem is very good and touchy. I am reminded of the scene in the film My Fair lady in which the heroin as the flower girl will go to the market in the mid-night and fall asleep due to the calm. But, she will be awakened by the noise of market place in the dawn. Regards, TDU
Hi, Very Nice. What i read in the last paragraph The tranquil peace is shattered through By the blaring sounds those horns do. is really true.Keep posting such poems in the future.:2thumbsup: BC
Hello Vidhya! Thank you for the encouragement. The poems I am submitting here are old ones. Of late, I do not find time to write due to my busy schedule. I yearn to get back to my old days of poetry writing when I had the time as well as the mood and right situations that made poems flow out of my heart.Ofcourse, I will be submitting whatever poems I have written till now as and when I find time so that poetry lovers can enjoy reading and comment on them. Rgds, Malathi

Malathy, that was a very nice poem! Even though i wake up at 4.30 am, my schedule is pretty hectic! However, on certain days [ when my husband is out of town!] I sit outside with a hot cup of coffee in the cool, cool dawn, savouring the peace, the freshness of another day, with the trees and the plants swaying gently in the early morning breeze - mmmm...luxury!
