    nilu

to use henna just for conditioning...you can do any of the following..

first haev a good oil massage to your hair and then apply henna (mix only curd or yogurt)

as oil is applied to hair...it would prevent the hair from getting colored because of henna and it would just condition the hair...

also you can use yogurt mixed with curd as a good conditioner...

    Re: Herbal henna vs henna

    Ladies,
I am a new member of this forum. I have a question and hoping someone could answer this. When i put any kind of powder (like henna or methi peaste or shikai+amla+aritha powder), how do I wash it off after it dries? My concern is will it clog any of the plumbing structures? We own a house in the United states and plumbing is very expesive if the outlet gets clogged. What do you ladies normally do? Do you have the same concerns? Thanks so much in advance.

    Regards,

    Hi Asha,

We get beetroot in any regular American and Indian grocery stores. In American stores, we usually get the beetroot leaves also with it, but in Indian stores, we just get the beetroot without the leaves. :)

    Hi Sinvid,

Welcome to Indusladies! Hope you have a wonderful time here browsing all the forums. :)

As for your concerns about using henna, there should be no problem since I've been using shikakai (often) & henna (occassionally)..and we do live in our own home and there has been no clogging so far.

    Cheers
    Krithika

    Re: Herbal henna vs henna

Thank you so much Jithiks. Now I can apply without too many concerns. It is just that when I wash my hair off, huge lumps of these powders start coming out of my hair and I am concerned... Thanks for your reply. Yes I am thouroughly enjoying all of your knowledge and expertise in the day to day issues/concerns.

    Regards,
    Shanti.
