Even Muthuswami Dheeshthar kreethi in raga Tharangini comes the same way.

Another interesting Tamil Varnam in raaga Kalyana vasantham:

Annalin Aanai eendi annai janakiyai thedi..

Pls share any other Tamil varnam you know of.

There is another keerthana in Kalyana vasantham:Naada Loludai,
had a chance of seeing a youtube video where Visaka Hari sings this song,tears started rolling from my eyes....

Aarthi, welcome in this thread, and nice to know about yathi..and i have been admiring this without even knowing what it is bonkbonk i am learning along...this krithi is also muthuswami dikshitars...i wonder if anybody else handles yathi...

Dikshitar has some songs in this form. the one you mention is maye tvam yahi...

the one with raspathe...is sri varalakshmi namastubhyam in sri ragam. (My daughter has learnt this song..and mss has also sung it..)

Thanks for giving more tamil varnams to my knowledge.

I learnt a song in Revathy raaga years back, loved that song but forgot parts of its lyrics.I am giving that song here if anyone can give me the complete lyrics that will be good.Also pls correct any wrong words here.

Thank you so much for the old Tamil song Unathu vizhiyil.So my today’s humming will be “Janasommodhini” It is a rare raga isn’t it Shanthi.
