    Hi ChitVish,
FB after a long time.. Because Did a lot of successful repeats of those I have tried already. I decided that instead of trying something and forgetting about it, I wanted to make all these lovely recipes somehow into the usual schedule.. But made a few other dishes too.
Mattar Paneer: Lovely lovely dish with an amazing creamy taste.. At the end of it I was wondering how the addition of curd could make it so rich and creamy... Hats off to you for this.. A must try by others, a typical restaurant dish with a personal touch
Rava cheese cutlet: Another superb snack, was a big hit with my cousins whom I had made it for.
    Thanks!! :)

    Chithumma, My Dear Adharsha Mangai,

This weekend shopping filled my pantry and refrigerator with raw materials for smoothies.

I opened the a/c with apple smoothie this morning; enjoyed it. Boiled channa for masala. Took out a little bit for salad.

    Thanks so much.

    Love,
    Your Picturesque.

    Dear Chithra

I noted now about the new posts.

Even I was wondering why Non-veg links are popping up. In fact I queried using various spellings Mughlai / Moghlai, Chitvish Mughlai, Chitvish Biriyani etc.etc. and so many other different waysDrowning, as I dont want to trouble you by asking silly questions. At last I could not resist, so I wrote.

I will try it out very soon. BTW, Chithra, tomorrow i.e. Monday, is my Star Birthday..... I am Chithra star......... just thought I wl share this with you, at least I can come little more closer by sharing your name with my star:wink:. Wish me good luck..... You are serving us like our MOM.

    Warm Regards
    Shanti

moong dal pakoda kadhi with mor milagai

    Dear Chithramma,

I made kadhi with lots of hesitation. because i had sothapufied kadhi several times before and this has always been my terror astharam against DH:thumbsup. Now after making your recipe i know i had been very 'generous' with kadalai maavu and hence the disasters!

I had exactly 1/2 cup of the moong dhal with skin. Now i'll stock this dhal regularly. It gives melt in the mouth, crispy, macaroon-like pakodas. I added also 2 tablespoons of very finely chopped spinach. The colour was very good in contrast to the kadhi.

To the kadhi itself i also added omam in the seasoning. Hot rice, ghee, kadhi with mor-milagai.. ultimate combo:) DH was drinking the kadhi.. i have passed the test. I must add this makes a great side-dish for rawa uppuma... that was our dinner. I inagurated my julienne-slicer for making carrot kosamalli tonight... what a beauty it is. I wouldn't have invested on this gadget if not for your intro!

Re: Regretted giving Chitvish's recipe uppuma to neighbour

Two weeks back I tried making uppuma based on Chitvish’s recipe. But I didn’t have much rava but can’t wait for trying. It tasted delicious and was different from what I have done earlier. Thus, gave some to my elderly neighbour who’s wife is a non-indian. I thought he will really appreciate me. When I asked his feedback, I was shocked when he said I should be offended of what he is going to say. My heart sank as I was waiting for some nice words from him. You know what he said, I gave him too little and it tasted so different that he was angry that I gave him too little…….ha ha ha :rotfl
Dear Chitra madam thank you so much for the recipe.:bowdown

My DIL & sambandi are Chitras because they were born on Chithirai star.
I was named Chithra though not my star!
You were born on Chithra star, but not named so!!
To be compared to or thought of as one's amma, is a blessing, as my close friend says! I thank God, Shanti.
    Love,
    Chithra.
