    hi smitha
even i have the language problem. actually the village name itself is Karuvalarcheri. karuvalarcheri means for pregnancy. actual meaning is garbham ravataniki in telugu. even i went to govindapuram searching for this temple. after we went there and started asking everyone the cabdriver asked us why we want to go for that temple. my husband is a tamilian and he told the driver that we want children and for that we need to go to that temple. then the cabbie told us there are only two temples there for pregnancy and they are garbharakshambikai and Karuvalarcheri amman(akilandeshwari).
so if you want to go there again. pls go down to kumbakonam and stay there in hotel rayas annexe. those people arranged for the taxi and all and they will explain to the cab driver where you want to go to and all.
Karuvalarcheri is very near to Kumbakonam. it was we were travelling for hrs to get to govindapuram but while coming to Kumbakonam it was like just 5 minutes. it is that near to Kumbakonam.
hope this information is more than enough

    Hi Smitha,

There are no restrictions regarding the food while consuming the ghee. Its solely upon the individual to eat nonveg or not. Secondly, you should not stop taking the ghee. when you have your periods your husband alone can take the ghee. You should not take the ghee for 5days during your periods whereas your husband can take the ghee for those 5days.

Hope this is clear. Good Luck.

    Hi Aswalik,

You both ( you & your DH ) should take the ghee daily for 48 days without any break. You should not take the ghee for 5days during your periods whereas your husband alone can take the ghee for those 5days.

Hope this is clear. Good Luck.

    Regards,
    Prems

Re: Planning to visit Garbharakshambikai temple

    Hi,

You can stop at Vaideeswaran koil. It has a very well maintained Sankara Mutt. There is a railway station also. You can get down at V.Koil, refresh and then proceed to Karpakarakshambigai. Its about an hour drive or son from V.Koil.
Do write if you some more info...
