    Dear Sridhar,
The reason that I came late here with a feedback was your title. Tell me one IL lite who is not furious with you over it, angry being a very mild word. You have written a touching tribute to the Late Sridhar whose movies I never missed. My dad was a ardent admirer of his and I love all the movies you have mentioned.
'Kadhalikka Neramillai' and 'Nenjil Oru Aalayam' being my favourites.
If I loved the comedy of Thangavelu and Nagesh in 'Kalyana Parisu' and 'Kadhalikka Neramillai', Kalyanakmar's dignity and respect for Devika in 'Nenjil Oru Aalayam' melted many a heart. 'Enna Ninaithu Ennai Azhaithayo'
esp. the lines 'Paravai Parandhu sela viduvena, andha Paramporul vandhalum tharuvena' was so poignant of the situation. Though I know 'Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal' is not Sridhar's gem I love the song' Veru Idam thedi povalo'. and the movie too!!!

May his soul rest in peace.

    Dear Pooja,
I wanted to pay homage to this great legend as I was named after him, my aunt being his ardent fan. As I opened a new thread my mischievous mind wanted to play with the fact that our names are the same. Hence the title.

I am sorry I shocked you all. But there was no other way I could grab all the attention I wanted to, to pay respects to the departed soul.
    thanks for joining us, Pooja.
    love,
    sridhar

    Dear Janani,

You tell me, dear local champ, whether I could have gathered this many ILites to pay tribute to the legend, but for the title?
That Sridhar gave his life to entertain us. This sridhar just gave a different title to express our thanks to him.
Whatever it is, I bow down to the affection and love showered on me. If not for anything else, I will live a hundred years just because of this kind of love.

Sridhar was a highly sentimental guy. He made us all cry even while watching a touching love scene. He had a keen eye for music. MS Viswanathan has told in an interview, that after completing the shooting of Policekaaran Mahal, Sridhar insisted that they should have one more song. MSV, his partner Ramamurthi and Kannadasan were invited. As soon as MSV-duo set the tune, Kannadasan wrote the lyric in no time. And that song was a hit. Sridhar won't let go of the Music Directors and song-writers till he could get what he wanted.

Thanks for joining us in paying tribute to the legend.
    love,
    sridhar

    Dear sir,
There is no wonder that you are a fan of Director sridhar. He gave a lot of wonderful films.Actually the next day various songs are played in memory of him in the programme "Then Kinnam " on Jaya TV.He produced the film"Avalukendru oru manam" in which the song "Unnidathil ennai koduthen" containing the actors barathi, gemini is one of my favorite. In this programme the info that this film produced by him actually did not run for days.It was even produced in hindi and tamil(I am not sure whether it was a remake). He spoke about the film in his interviews.Ofcourse puratchi thailavi ,the evergreen beauty was introduced by him.He introduced various new faces to the industry. All the golden numbers from "Sumai thaangi","kalyana parisu","kadhalikka neramillai" in which actress kanchana and actor ravichandran were introduced by him, were played. They are gem of songs which can change the mood of a person.May his soul rest in peace.I feel like recalling and listing his numbers which are our favorites too.
Nenjathai alli konjum thaa thaa tha, anubavam pudhumai...(from kadhalikka neramillai.Really they are gem of songs which will never get bored even after hearing myriad of times)
    Manidhan enbavan dheivam aagalaam(sumai thaangi)
    Innum enna vaarthaigalo(Venniraadai)

Let me stop here.... Otherwise it will go on and on and on.....

    Regards
    Bhargavi...

    Dear Bhargavi,

Thanks for the wonderful tribute you have paid to the great legend. Yes, Director Sridhar had a lot of flops on his hands as well.

You put all his flops on one side. Just have one hit film, let's say Kadalikka Nermillai on the other side. Even then his success would far outweigh his failures.

Many of his early films were super-duper hits as they were trend setters. In his later days the trend of the movies changed. And he still stuck to his soft, tender love-story format.

Many times when some mag editors tell me that my stories are way too soft, I wonder that I am also out of date like the late Director.

Honestly tell me Bhargavi, if ALS is published as a book, will you be interested in buying it?
Sorry for discussing something personal in this homage thread. I am talking with my publishers and am keen on knowing where I stand.
    love,
    sridhar

    Dear sir,
I am actually very happy and i am even fortunate because you discuss about your contributions with me and ask my opinion .Please ,my dear sir,"No sorry at all".

Let me put my opinion honestly and very frankly on your statement.According to me negative impacts, negative aspects play more powerfully in a man's life.I don't know whether this holds good in cinema(Director Sridhar for example). But many people would judge this as pessimistic. In this way,i am neither optimistic nor pessimistic. Our mind always tends to think about our short comings rather than be happy with what we are.But this a bitter truth which is difficult to accept. Please excuse me if my views are demotivating (my dear ilites)by any ways.:hide:.But i say that the percentage of worrying in case of uncertainties is larger (& even largest) than the percentage of being happy in the pleasant situations we have in our life.Do you agree with me sir?? I think you won't.:hide: .Let me consider Director sridhar sir itself first. He gave a hit film "Kadhalikka neramillai".Of course the film would have run for days.He would(definitely) be happy with it and following that one more film of him could have also gone well.Suppose his next film after two such successful projects is a failure.Definitely the one film which gave him a failure would have affected him more ,than his previous success.Negative forces are always powerful. In this case i personally feel failure overlooks success.

Let us take a period of ten days life for a person,he would have lived happily till the nineth day and on his tenth day he would have met with some crisis.Suppose if we put a question "How are you"(I mean for the particular ten days) on him,the next immediate reply would be about his problem he faced on the last day(tenth day).Like wise people(especially teens) are yielded to the negative effects of technology which are little inspite of the major advancement in it.Please excuse me if you feel this as a negative feedback.I am just very keen in conveying what i felt.

Of course a problem must come to a solution and i would like to recall what i have read In the book "Oh Mind relax please" .Here the author(Swami Sukhabodhananda) insists on how to break the worry before it breaks you.He defined and described a technique. The technique is called "Super imposing Technique",i.e when worrisome thoughts can be super imposed on good thoughts giving us enthusiasm why not think of the reverse scenario. This was what you mentioned in the very begining sir.:thumbsup:bowdown
Even then his success would far outweigh his failures.."Then what is the reason for the long story?" would be the question from many of them(hopefully not from you) who read till now.
But still ,your statement and the lines from the book convey the strong message which i felt should be described in detail.Great men think alike. This was the reason behind...

On the bottom line i go with what i said before(first para). What is your opinion on this sir????

Thank you so much for bearing and reading my long, confusing bonk fb....

About your next question,i will answer in my next post.Because i feel it is more important for me.

    With regards
    Bhargavi...
