    Dear Varloo,
Yes, with FP, we need not use hands at all. All batters are best with that because of uniform blending.
This morning I made aval puttu with that. Will post with photos.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Amma

Thanks for explaining the uses of fodd processer, so that we can use it fully.

It is nice to see that the steamer fits your pressure pan. I was wondering whether it will fit or not.

As usual the photos are amazing.

    Love
    Vijee

    Dear Vijee,
I knew you were apprehensive about the steamer! Since I have a wide Butterfly P PAN, I knew, it would fit!!
The green chilli chop is your idea - remember? It is very useful.
My camera has become an integral part of my kitchen, much to my maid's amusment! :)

    Dear Deepa,
Serve steaming kalkandu sadam when guests come - it will be praise-galore, so long as you don't cut down the ghee! :biggrin2:
If not, it will be a sticky mass!
    Love,
    Chithra.
    Try akkaravadisal - super recipe!!

    Re: Mangalore rasam.

    Dear Chitra,
Make M'lore rasa or Mysore rasam with idli. These thickish rasams go very well with idli & dosai!
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Chithra,
    dry fruit poli, wow!
I made the polis yesterday night, it was 12 when I went to bed. I work inghostly hours to avoid disturbance.
I guess the heat was a little on the high for polis when compared to rotis. So the first few polis were not perfect. Then I switched off the machine and after pressing , switched it on. Again when the cooking was nearly complete, I switched off again. That way, I make the remining ones perfectly.
A asked me the name of the thing I was making- see how long it had been. He just loved the coconut poli very much. Now they are all soft and only very little ghee was needed.
    Here is the snap!
