I have some white thing on my tongue. it's been same size for many months now. noticed this last year. same size. hurts if I touch or rub with fingers. always erected straight and skin just attached to the tongue. it's white in color like white color round at the bottom of that blister and on top of it is pinkish white color. what to do for this? is this something serious? I have chronic jaw and tooth pain for 3 years for which I had several dental work. no relief though. then noticed this tongue blister. don't know how it's formed. Any thoughts on this please. what to do for this? it's so tiny and hurts very sore if I touch. I tried to prick it out but I couldn't.

It's so puffy white color at the bottom. It hurts to touch and rub. Top of that blister looks pink but the bottom is white color and puffy/bulgy. Will update the pics in comments.

    Any thoughts please.

please dont try to prick it, it can lead to other things which you dont want.

if its hurting then its better to check with your dentist if you have one or your pcp if they might help

this is first time i am seeing something like this, usually for small kids for sores doctor use magic mouth wash.. i dont think that is going to help for you...

@gknew while I am not a doctor, what you have may be the result of trauma due to dental work. It may be a skin tag or a fibro epithelial polyp. See a dermatologist and get it evaluated. Do not try to self medicate or remove it by yourself. Take care.

    Thanks for the response.
I didn't get notification for this post and didn't see the responses.

I saw my PCP yesterday and unfortunately she doesn't know what that is. I googled my own image and got to know it's related to herpes virus. So went to see PCP.

She checked the tongue and said she don't know what that is. She googled in her computer and took a picture of my tongue in her phone..

And I showed my Google finding and asked if it's herpes thing. She said she don't have any idea and asked me to see ENT. Or dentist. She left that to me to see someone. No referrals given.

She said I can leave this as such if I want to. I was like, no!!
If you don't have any idea, it's ok. I will see someone else. It was totally a disappointed appointment yesterday. See the attached images below.
    Don't know whom to see.

    Thanks for the response.
I will check about fibro epithelialpolyp. I googled and few images looked similar to mine.
Those are squamous cell papilloma. Those looked similar to mine. I will post the image here. But don't know whom to see as I mentioned above, I saw my PCP yesterday and she said she don't know what that is. I asked if it's herpes thing and she said she don't know.

Are you taking any tablets daily without including b complex tablets. Just check with your doctor if it's because of vitamin or calcium deficiency. Also do you eat too spicy food. Also just make sure your stomach is clear without any digestion issues.

i think you need to change your PCP.. i hope you told her that its hurting, if you have a dentist then call them and check with the doctor to see what he/she suggest before you go visit them, tell the front desk you need to talk to doctor..

I don't take any multi vitamins. I take vitamin D since I am deficient. I am low on B12 but Dr didn't give me any prescription for B.
I didn't know this is related to vitamin deficiencies.
I don't eat any spicy food.

Yeah I have to change my PCP. I moved to a new city and I have to find a new dentist and new PCP. Yesterday I saw my old Pcp who is around 1.5 hours away. I just went there because all new PCP nearby are booked up for few months.
Same with new dentist office too. I have to call my old dentist office and check if I can see them for an appointment. I don't think they will let me talk over the phone. The staff just always say come and see the Dr in person as they are busy seeing patients. This is the response I have received so far. I am trying to call all dentists nearby.

I hope I will be able to see them soon.

According to Aurveda & even Allopathy too, any blemishes on tongue is indicator of something minor curable with stomach.
A bad coating in yellow or bluish violet for example indicates incomplete digestion or difficulty in digesting a food.
A bud or bubble or blister - a touch of pure castor oil my mom is to apply or squishing in the mouth thil-oil for few minutes at different intervals
I suspect you switched or added new to your food on regular basis that is disagreeable to stomach.
Consult a specialist is a must. However innocuous hand remedies suggested here can go hand in hand.
    Wish you all the best.
    Regards.
