They Just Wheeled My Dad In

Certainly this week has been harder! Dad is now upset that i do poor time management and is wondering how I will survive once he is gone (he acts as if it is very soon)

But I do need to create a fresh "to-do" list each morning. This repetitiveness may be the only solution.

 

He worries more and more

 

Now my Dad received Medtronic card in the mail.

He must carry it with him and let MRI technicians, etc know that he had this valve placed in his aorta.

 

My Dad has been getting bouts of chest and back pains that radiate to arms.

Last week is came and went and the Nurse Practitioner said its ok

Now it came back.

I know google says this is normal after TAVR but this oi scary

Dad does not want to go to hospital, etc. It is always traumatic for him

I called the Heart monitoring company to see if there is anything abnormal and they say call the hospital

I called the Nurse Practitiioner and she says reading the heart monitor data is normal

Several hours later he still has pain

Now we are waiting for Dad's local cardiologist

I hope everything is okay

 

My Dad went to regular Cardiologist (not the surgeon in the hospital)

EKG, test with ultrasound on neck, test with ultrasound around chest (I think that's echocardiogram) all looks normal (some hiccup here and there, but nothing to get alarmed about)

Cardiologist says take 2 Aleve every 6 hours

I hope this works. Dad's pain is so unbearable!

 

Now my Dad feels substantially better but don't want to be overconfident

This has been so traumatic. He was crying in pain from the pressure on his upper chest and upper back.
