Hi I don't have much Indian clothes. I didn't bring much when I moved to the US. And I didn't buy any here. I used to go for Indian parties with Western dresses which looks like Indian. I have seen my friends and acquaintance that they wore nice sarees,kurti sets etc. Accessories accordingly. I feel little low to go to such kind of parties and feel of man out because of my dress. So I thought of buying few sarees and kurti sets etc. I checked in Amazon and did order few. The quality was not very good. Trying to order it from India where they do international shipping. Sending to parents home and they do courier is not an option for me. I checked in few websites( pothys, Chennai silks etc) and they have standard shipping rates. One of my friend suggested Tamara Chennai as they have good collections. I am not from Chennai. So I don't know the store names from Chennai. Any of you bought anything from them? If so, how was the quality?

I have bad experience with Tamara. Seeing their glossy instagram with so many followers and picture perfect models I ordered clothes worth 10 K INR. It turned out to be a disaster, their fit and quality is so poor for the exorbitant price they quote, their delivery is so slow, I had to spend my vacation time in Chennai haggling with them about returns , exchanGE ETC, Like all Indian retail stores they don't do returns. I would suggest you order just one piecE and check and quality and fit . Did I mention we have to pay for the return courier charge and pay again for the delivery charge of the new replaced item..boink. good luck!
