In Part 2 I would think. I am sure she will get her 2 minutes to impress us, ha ha!!!

If I have to say in one sentence, idhukku paruthi moottai godown la ye irundhirukkalam

Padathula plus na aishwaryas and karthis acting They surprised me. Kishore was also brilliant but it's expected of him. Trisha, karthi scene was very nice. I wished jayaram as azhvarkadiyan was shown more. Enakku most favourite characters in the novel na adhu vandhiyadevan nandhini, poonkuzhali and azhvarkadiyan. But poonkuzhali and azhvarkadiyan film la sollikkura pola varave illa. The cinematography, fight scenes, songs picturisation ellam kodooram
Actually I am at a loss of words to say anything more. Enna sollanumnu honestly theriyala. People who havent read the novel will find it difficult to understand the movie, since most scenes are incomplete and go fast paced without establishing the character or their intention. For people who read the novel the film hasn't done justice. So rendu tharappayum satisfy panna mudiyala. But MR kitta vera enna expect panna mudiyum. He is not at his best. But i trusted jaya mohan. I thought including him is the best decision but no. Idhula pan India vera. Vera yaarachum direct pannirukkalam nu thonama illa. Vanathi ku crocodile scene poi miss pannirukkanga. Crocodile scene illena vanathi yedhukku. That's the most important scene for an otherwise not so important character. Poonguzhali is always remembered for her valor not glamour. I didnt like the dress given for aishwarya lekshmi. Maniyam sirs picture of poonkuzhali will be brilliant in the novel. Kandha maarans mudhugula kuthara scene, madhuramdhagans history lam missing. Even if we ignore these things, over all a oru historical fiction a film a paakumbodhu vara vendiya oru fulfillment is missing. I guess since I don't have much to say or found any big good thing to highlight I am talking about small things. But vera enna solla.. yeah i also liked the scene with which the first part ended. if I remember anything will come back.

I wished the same. ARR should have gone for classical suiting the time frame of the film. But he simply wants to pull the crowd whether appropriate or not.

 

If I have to give a ranking on casting and acting it might be the following:

1. Karthi - 95+
2. Aish - 95+
3. Jayaram - 95+
4. Trisha - 90 +
5. Vikram - 90+
6. JayamRavi - 90+
7. Aishwarya Lakshmi - Case of great casting but her character was underwritten ( like @stayblessed said ) 80+
8. Sarath kumar - Not happy with the casting. I would have liked someone a bit more terrorizing in looks which undergoes transformation in front of his wife. Acting wise he did great though - 85+
9. Parthiban - 90+ ( looked everybit as terrrorizing as chinna pazuvetrarayer).
10. Kishore as mandharavadhi again was good casting but I don't think the role was well written 80+
11. Nassar was wasted as veerapandiyan
12. Others like Prakashraj, Mohan raman, Prabhu, jayachitra, sobhitha, nizalgal ravi were all good casting without much to do. Prakashraj probably had most to do with 80+ on underplaying his role. The make up of prabhu, mohan raman was great
13. Rahman is an 80+
14. Vikram Prabhu's make up was not good and not sure if he was a good casting either and had an underwritten role.

 

Yet to watch movie..
