So today, I didnt have enough place in the closet for my suitcases and laptop bags, so I just pulled out the piled up newspapers. From that pile I found my watch that I was searching for a few months now! The battery was off so I need to replace it anyway, but THank GOd I found it! I generally put it in the side pockets of the laptop bag, but I didnt find it this time. It might have slipped and fell into the newspapers pile!!! This is one of my many stories where I found things in expected places. Many years back I lost our house keys. All of us used to have a copy of the key, whoever came home first, we can open it. And I didnt find my key that day and waited for my mom to reach home. We searched everywhere top to bottom of the house. Everyone in the house searched for it. I gave up and finally got another copy done. Many months later, my mom wanted to give away all my old unused clothes, bags , papers, etc. She pulled out my bag, an old hand bag. At that time, I switched to a backpack I think and stopped using that handbag and was just lying around, piling dust on itself. When my mom pulled it out, she heard a dangling sound. Opened all pockets, zoppers, but couldnt find anything. Turned out, the lower fabric got torn in a corner, and thru it, a key with keychain fell inside. And that was my house key !!! My mom was ecstatic for a while but she was like "Not again with my daughter" Many more stories but finding the watch today brought back those memories, rather, brought back my achievements.
Once I had removed few old clothes from a cupboard (not frequently used) and locked it. And just moved around for 5 minutes in the house. After 5 minutes I realised the key is missing. I checked again and again all the places, corners I visited in those 5 minutes, but couldn't find the key. Just put my hand in the bag to see any jingle of keys, but no didnt hear. After a lot of searching I assumed that the key was inside the cupboard n it got locked magically. After 2 3 months I called in the duplicate key guys to anyhow open the cupboard. They came n opened it somehow. I was charged 500rs. I checked inside but didnt find the key. Then to keep the clothes back I just emptied the bag of clothes onto the floor and with that came the key. It looked like some magic. Something is in front of you but you can't see it.
Dusk already set in. A man was walking on the road not well illuminated suddenly realised that he lost house key. He rushed to the nearest lamp post and spotted a bright cone of light rays beneath the post and began his search. For long he was in search of his keys . A man from a distance watching his miserable state approached him and enquired what he was searching. He said “keys”. The other asked him whether he lost the key near that lamp post. The loser told him “ no i lost it elsewhere. I am searching here because, here it is bright”. A grandmother was watching her grandson miserable and found searching noisily his motorcycle key in his room rummaging table drawers cupboards etc. he suggested to him “ search in Google” My late mother lost her precious stoned ring while rinsing and washing her long silk saree.
