    Dear Mathu,
Cooking for oneself without being indulged upon, is a price one has to pay for living away from our own people!!
But I am glad you are cooking with interest.
    Take care, Mathu.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Breakfast Feedback!

    Hello Mrs. C

Made Vegetarian Omelette for breakfast. Though the name sounds awkward it tasted realy good.

Here there is no boiled rice available and i had to think of alternatives than idly and dosai maavu. So, your Recipe index comes very handy.

It was done jiffy and we had it with none other than coriander tomato chutney.

    Regards
    GK

    Dear Latha,
Dough kneader attachment needs a little practice & you will settle down in no time, don't worry.
I love the "madi-dhal", you write about, but with tur dhal!! :)
With karakuzambu, a paruppusili will be good.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Hello Mami,
Made Palak paneer today! OMG speechless after having it! It was brilliant to the core, too perfect for words. Palak paneer is one of my favorites, all of us loved it. My husband was going gaga over it. The best part of the dish was garnishing with thin strips of ginger, too good. :bowdown

    Cheers,
    Nithya

    Hi ChitVish,
Made "Ginger Garlic Rasam" today with Kovakkai curry. We simply LOVED it !!! Amazing strong taste of ginger and it even overpowers the (usually) strong taste of garlic. I ended up eating a lot more than I generally do!! Just popped some "inji mittai" which we reguarly have after dinner everyday, not realizing that the dinner already included ginger(as I don't make any dish with ginger as the main ingredient)!! :crazy
An amazing treat that was ChitVish! And yeah, about the malliga poo idlis, I noted the exact quantity of water and grinding time etc, as the idlis were silky soft...! Guess why I didn't post a new feedback yesterday? Because I had a request of making the same malliga poo idlis with the batter again by dear partner! Now everytime I make these idlis, we will think of who other than ChitVish for her amazing propotions!! :bowdown

    Dear Sudha,
Now it is tender-ginger season. I am also using it plenty in cooking, me being a ginger lover too!
About achieving malligaipoo idlis, I can hear you singing happily

    Chithramma,

This is how amma makes karuvadam. She grinds ulundu with green chillies, perungayam and salt like vadai batter and places pinches of dough in sun to dry. I have never heard of KV with thattai payaru... new to me. Is it available to buy anywhere in Mylai (ambika appalam or so)?. What i have with me is KV made from ulundu:)

    Latha
