    Hi all,

I delivered the baby by c-sec 2 yrs back. Though I'm now in my pre-pregnancy weight (breastfeeding, walking, yoga, healthy diet helped), my tummy doesn't seem to reduce much. Please suggest me some tips to get to good shape.

    Thanks much
    Swarna

crunching exercise helped me to reduce the tummy and tightening the skin around that area. But you must have started doing this exercise by 3rd or 4th months following the c-section.

I've had my abdominal surgery in May, and had a huge tummy following that. But I started walking from first month and continued the walking exercise, while slowly beginning crunching exercises now. I can see my tummy is getting tight and coming back to shape.

You can also wear tights that can keep your body in shape and aid toning

Strength training is the way to go.

the more muscle you build…you cut fat.

Tracking your macros is an absolute must.

You need to try a good combo of carbs, high protein and less fat along with strength training. Then later you can do the maintainence phase and increase your macros accordingly.

Planks are very good plus try breathing exercises. Also remember when you eat less you lose muscle mass and get tired. You will be skinnier but the flab won’t go.It is a little work to get the body but so worth the pain.Even if you later fluctuate in weight..the flab won’t be back as before.

Since you are in Chennai..Try places like F45..one in Anna nagar and other in adayar I believe.Pricey but good.Or try personal training for sometime and see how it feels.

    Good luck

Have you checked if you have diastasis recti? That may be one reason where tummy doesn’t reduce. Make sure you get checked as some exercises may make the condition worse.

@GoneGirl - No, it's not diastasis recti. I had my annual wellness check-up done.

@ SGVB, @anika987 - Thank you for the suggestions. I'll try doing them
