It's kinda a little embarrassing to think how only a few weeks back we had discussed it yet I was lost and clueless before the bulb finally switches on for me! Lol. I think the 'Sand' and 'Tomb' clue images were well thought out... in plain sight yet obscured enough!
@Gauri03, "Desert Daisy" journey was long and hard for me as well as I went on and on thinking that is it. @Kohvachn, Can you believe I got a clue that it was discussed between you and gauri03 in Gabfest, I spent an hour looking at all your posts and still didn't connect (passed through the post about Geethanjali yet decided to pass as I had rejected that in my first attempt) until @1Sandhya posted her next clue with Salman Rusdie's image. That connected me to Booker award and revelation happened. Your response in spoiler confirmed it as I didn't know it was a book until then.
Hm, despite my point of that discussion being about how less attention desi translations and translators received, little did we/I mention Daisy Rockwell there I think (if my memory is right). Understandably, you or anyone may not have caught the reference instantly if you were to look it up in gabfest unless you had some part of the puzzle figured out already maybe.
My sister always placated me by saying the first part of my name is modernish. My parents won’t let me be called that! They made my life miserable by making everyone call me my name entirely all through school. Somehow once I got to college, I got everyone to only address me by the first part of my name. It was a huuuge relief! Even now, after all these years my husband will use my full form name everywhere and makes me MAD! Plane tickets
