    Rihana,
    I’m always awed by strong women. I’ve learned quite a bit from many such ladies here on IL. It takes a whole lot to stand up for oneself, especially if our own parents are of the adjust to maintain relationship category. I’m awed by @mangaii and everything she had to undergo to get back what’s rightfully hers. How Do You Face Criticism Of Being Called Unlucky
    From going to confront her SIL to going to the police and not giving up, @mangaii has done it all alone. There are things we need to give in to maintain relationships but then there are boundaries. From mangaii’s thread, I’ve learned that we need to stand up when required and that some people don’t deserve our magnanimity.

    I would like to nominate her for FP.

    Dear Viji, this is a timely post to see in FP nominations as many people I know are job-hunting. How to ask a friend about their job hunt progress is a skill many people don't have. Job hunting can be a stressful process and nosy neighbors don't help with their questions.

    @Vedhavalli's post Inquisitive Aquaitenances On Crucial Time tells how an over-inquisitive neighbor can drive the most patient person to being blunt.

    As always, Vedhavalli's thread highlights an issue many of us face and members respond with their ideas. The positive updates in the thread were an added delight. : )

    Thank you Laks for bringing this post to FP. It is the kind of post that comes along only once in a while. I remember where I was when I read it. : ) I was waiting in line at a bank in a new city. First, I read the post without my glasses. Then, I hurriedly reached into my bag for my glasses. As I fumbled for them in the deep pockets of my bag : ) I caught a few people looking at me oddly. I decided to calm down as with the shootings and all, people must be jittery and best not to be caught rummaging in a bag. : )

    @mangaii's update in How Do You Face Criticism Of Being Called Unlucky
    What an update! I am sure for many readers it must have felt like they got back something of their own. It takes patience and courage to persist for one's right in these kind of situations. Limited time in an India trip, pandemic restrictions, legal system's delays ... many of us might have just given up.

    I am very happy for mangaii and glad she shared her experiences and journey.

    Another good find by my Viji Dearest. : )

    At its core IL is about helping women and celebrating women.

    @1Sandhya's post How About A Person Of The Month Award? talks about
    "... regular women, not particularly feminists or some other label, who are simply facing and trying to solve some problem or the other in their lives. They are authentic and unafraid to put themselves out there, warts and all. Their stories resonate with us. Their write-ups and updates are honest, even often quite unsparing of themselves as needed while analyzing or discussing the problem.
    ...
    I feel we should celebrate these exceptional members, who while going about their daily lives are somehow finding the strength and devising ways to overcome the obstacles and retain or reclaim their agency."
    I couldn't have said it better.

    Dear Rihana,

    per your suggestion of stepping back and examining the past six months,
    I decided to start the second half the right way with the FP forum by bringing in my first nomination @Anusha2917 's post All I Think Is About Food Food Food !!

    Her writing style while talking about an issue that she is working on felt like she was sitting in the same room and sharing her thoughts! At least I felt that way. I am sure weight gain and food especially in new and newish mommies is something we can all relate to! I am sure this will be a valuable thread with a lot of suggestions and words of affection pouring in and will be a delight to read! And I loved the title of the thread too.....:)

    @Rihana,

    I know she is one of the committee members nominating many posts on a regular basis but some of her suggestions are definitely significant and I have to nominate them here. I see many of them but one of them I nominate here because it is too attractive to me. I learn that important lesson from her that it is more of how we say that matters more than what we say to motivate those who seek help.
    I am here to nominate @Laks09's post All I Think Is About Food Food Food !!, in response to @Anusha2917.

    Note: I am not done yet and I have one more to nominate.

    @Rihana

    This straight from the heart post helped me understand that motivation doesn't have to come from my peers or professional guides but from the father, mother, husband, wife, children, Laks09 or her mother. Learning Sanskrit has been my dream for years but didn't succeed. But after reading this post, my determination became stronger. @Laks09's appetite to learn never stops and that is evidenced by how many subjects she signs up regularly. I have been told many times that my curiosity to learn never stops but I feel nothing will match @Laks09's motivation to learn.

    I am here to nominate the post of @Laks09 in response to @Sweety2016 Staying Focused To Study
