    I am unable to find intimacy forum, hence I posted here

    this must be a dumb question, but I need guidance

    I saw WW2 documentary where Mothers, Wives, Girlfriends gave their men girlie (ie ladies wear their birthday suit) when they were sent to war

    Why would women do that? Won’t they fear that their husbands and boyfriends will reject them and focus on the pictures in these magazines?

    What is the logic?

    @Laks09 @MalStrom @Rihana @nuss @anika987 @Anusha2917 @BhumiBabe

    I’m unsure who else to tag.

    If you are lady, please respond

    During WWII men were often away at war for months or years. It is highly unlikely that all of them remained celibate during that time. The women knew. Many of the survivors returned home to their wives but many marriages also didn’t stand the test. The women at home might have just wanted to make their men’s lives a little more bearable since many of them didn’t live all that long. Whether they saw adult magazines or not would not have had much bearing on their real lives.

    @SuiDhaaga - I had no idea about this! I agree with everything @MalStrom has stated. As long as there isn’t a p*rn addiction, seeing a few magazines wouldn’t have had an impact on real life relationships.

    Edited: Typing p*rn with the actual spelling is starring it all out.

    Nevermind who else to tag. Let's figure out why the above were tagged. :tonguewink:

    If you can share a link to the documentary, one can make better understand why the women sent those magazines with the men. One possible reason is that they hoped that with the magazines available, the men would not turn to each other.

    Even though you didn't tag me op, my thoughts on this
    Men have a more biological need for sex.
    Since their wives will not be available during war times, they can masturbate
    using the magazines.

    Also the wives didn't want their husband's to have other women there.:rolleyes:

    Thank you for replying :)

    ohhhh, I see!

    I guess the guy cannot be with wife or g/f and see the magazines at same time. I’m unsure if it will help or hurt their relationship.

    Oh, okay

    war really tears things apart

    I didn’t know if ladies gave these magazines to their men on regular basis, or if going to war was the exception
