It is nice to start the FP thread on a light and uplifting note. Today, however, the thought of how many children remain out of schools and under the care of abusive or helpless parents is hard to shake off. So, I turned to an old favorite news article to rekindle hope and remind myself of human generosity. She quit her job to teach kids to love books The library nestled in the Garo Hills of Meghalaya may have since closed or have very limited hours, but two people did something to bring books to young children. That is magical enough. Last month saw many members nominating for the first time ever. Posts by any member can be nominated for FP. You see a fine post, bring it to FP. Happy June, folks. I hope your month is filled with books – that you read, rearrange or even use to decorate a shelf or coffee table. .
My pyari Rihana My ĺ nomination is @anika987's post 9 Year Old Extreme Stubbornness And Tantrums..please Help!
Rihana, Why do strong independent women living in western countries stay in abusive marriages? I’ve often wondered what is holding them back. @DDream has explained it well in her post Am I Doing Something Wrong ? Shared custody is a boon and a bane for this reason alone. The adults have to put differences aside and make it work for the kids. The work that goes into fixing the emotional trauma that kids endure having an unfit parent will need work. Absolutely true. With kids involved, it’s truly being between a rock and a hard place. This. No matter what anyone on an online forum says, she needs to realize it herself. So true. Instead of wondering why people are putting up with things, it’s good to realize that everyone reaches the point of no return at their own time. I felt like DDream has given some of the things that go thought people’s minds when they are contemplating a relationship’s validity. We can all use some patience with people in difficult situations. I would like to nominate her for FP!
Dear Rihana , i would like to second @Ddreams replies to original post 'Am i doing something wrong' . As so well brought out by her in her reply at no. 116, OPs situation is definitely not black and white and there are too many issues that need to be taken into account by her before proceeding with a separation or otherwise. Op would do well to consider all the pointers.
Dear Rihana, I would like to nominate Cycling Recycling by @Balajee. It brought back the old memories for all of us. It was hilarious and thought provoking too. Regards
Dear Rihana, I would like to nominate Viswa's Religious Harmony for the finest post of June. Viswa takes up a topic that is the need of the hour and traces the roots of religious harmony in ancient Indian culture. A truly erudite post very relevant in these times of polarization.
Dear Admins. I am here to nominate dear anika's @ anika987 9 Year Old Extreme Stubbornness And Tantrums..please Help! Most of her posts are relatable, natural and non pretentious.
