Next to their yearning for a thriving curry leaf plant, Indian women living abroad crave a fragrant jasmine plant in their garden. It comes with such creative names such as "Maid of Orleans", "Belle of India" and "Arabian Jasmine." I too ordered a few saplings. Our enthusiastic gardener, instead of asking where to plant them, just planted them right where I had put the pots in a far corner of the yard next to the garbage bins. I was so hopping mad that he got scared and went away saying we’ll talk another day. When I could finally bear to look at them, I went out and gazed at the plants. I wished they could talk. Wished they had spoken up to the gardener. Wished they could decide for me now if I should replant them. I left them as is. They went on to follow the adage "bloom where you are planted." Yes, the Winner of the Finest Post Award is @beautifullife30 for her snippet: Ochira And The Mighty Banyan @beautifullife30 has given us a heartwarming, soothing and inspiring description of a tree that is a haven for humans, animals, birds and worshippers. A witness to the march of time and a connection to those that came before us. I am sure I was not the only reader who felt like we actually visited the site in person while reading the narration. There may not be another tree like that mighty banyan but hopefully the snippet will inspire us to think more deeply about the nature around us and do what we can to preserve it better. @iyerviji thank you for nominating this fine post. @beautifullife30, Congratulations on winning the finest post for the month of April 2022. I had lived in Kerala for at least 2 years and Ambalams in Kerala had always made me get highly elevated. A place of worship without a temple gopuram located in a natural habitat surprised me more. Every Temple I had visited in Kerala had a uniqueness to it. Thank you for enlightening with the information about this temple. Hopefully, I will get to see this temple.
Oh wow...thanks a lot everyone. I had a long journey and was so exhausted. This post was just what i needed to perk me up! Thanks Vijima....for nominating my post. To be honest, every second i spent in Kerala, i got reminded of you. Simple, humble and very down to earth - both Kerala and you Thanks Rihana for selecting my post. I am glad you enjoyed my snippet. I wish you experience the bliss i felt at Oachira. I hope things fall in place and you get a chance to visit this temple.
