    My kid’s first baby dress
    First feeding bottle
    Her kindergarten art work
    Drawings
    Clothes etc etc
    First dress grandparents got her..
My old clothes which still looks good..

I am not able to discard coz I get very emotional and too many stuff has piled on now!

Too many papers in the house!!
Am so tired and feel energy drained..

How did you discard things which mean to you?

How long did it take for you to clear up your home?

Clothes I have given to charity organization in my area. But notebooks and stationery - I have no idea what to do. I want to get rid of them, but don't know how to do it. Do take photos of them before you get rid of them.

Also, as a side question - what do people do with old panchangams with photos of God? Also, papers/books containing stotrams?

Anika, if you have a lot of kids artwork and you are willing to throw money at it then check out a service like Artkive or Plumprint. They will scan the pictures and turn them into a beautiful book. I always see ads for discounts on social media.

First things first, i click things as pics and save them in google photos.
Clothes, toys, and books I give away to the charity and needy.
Including mine and children. I buy things for my need and not for my wants, so maybe this is helping me.

Newspapers, every week i give to recycle or use it to put for the oil canisters and in pooja room for agarabthi stands.

Whenever i feel my kids are outgrown with their toys i give them away to charity drive, if they are not in good condition then i throw them away in the trash.

Over a period of time, i feel collection of many things leads to unwanted attachment and letting them go will become a problem.

Sorry again for the long post.

    Regards
    Nandini

Throw them out without thinking twice. There are plenty of textile recycling bins everywhere. Animal shelters and vets offices will be happy to accept blankets.
Your mind will feel much lighter once the clutter is gone.
