    Dear Chitra Mami ,

This is the first time i'm writing to you .first of all let me congratulate you on all your efforts you put on the different sections in this forum. i really appreciate all your efforts from the bottom of my heart ! i have been a silent reader so far .

My husband is suffering from gastritis (the stage just before ulcer) for the past 1 yr .he has been taking allopathic medicines . but some how the burning sensation and bloating seems to persists.

are there any home remedies for this ? Pls give me your suggestions

i have been cooking with no red chillies/green chillies -not even sambar powder etc where red chillies may have been used .i use garam masala in some curries - that too very little quantities - can you pls give me any ideas for more receipes ?

thanks very much mami for all your help .

    Dear Vidhya,
    Thanks for your nice words.
Please remember I am only a housewife & not an authorised medical person.
Avoid chillies & hot things. Milk shakes, cold or room temperature food is best. Use moong dhal more.Avoid spicy things also.We use lot of manathakkali keerai also.
If I can get any more suggestions, I will write to you.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Vidhya,

    If I may :)

Have him do this religiously for a month.

    (1) Drink one big glass of moor (buttermilk) daily first thing in the morning.
    (2) Around 11 or so, one glass of grapes juice.

And lots of water daily. He should intake 4 bottles of water a day :thumbsup

    You,

    (1) Include atleast 3-4 times a week, agathi keerai in your menu.
    (2) Don't use garam masalas too. Give only non-spicy food. no powders of any sort. This will help in healing all the damages inside.

If you can get hold of kuppaimeni (I dont know the english name) - dry and ground it and add to the buttermilk and give him. Its good for the troubled stomach.
