    Hi all beautiful ladies,

First, let me tell you about myself. I am a Stay-at-home-mom living in Florida USA with two naughty boys and a loving husband.

The only problem I have is my weight which in turn is causing me other issues too. It's hugely affecting my self-confidence. I have always been a chubby child who knew only to excel in studies was enough for a good life. But soon after marriage and kids, I gained so much weight that taking care of kids was difficult. So I went to India for 1 year and that’s when I was weighing the heaviest of my life... around 186lbs and decided to do something for that. I joined an aerobics center and slowly I started liking it and was able to results too.. lost around 35lbs in 1 year and I was so happy. But when I came back to the US I started to gain weight, was trying to do some sort of exercise (1-3 times a week) but things went out of control and again I was back to my heaviest around 179 lbs. And to add to my problem I started to have lower back problems too, due to which I mostly ignored almost all physical activities and was lethargic most of the time. And last year in November I decided to do something with myself as I can't stay like this forever... I joined a CrossFit gym near me.. and instantly I knew that was not for me, but thought not to give up and held on for 4 months but believe it was really hard esply with the bar movement. I had very bad back issues. So I stopped doing that.

I started thinking that I have to do something which will:

--stay with me forever(I can do it even when I am 60).

--Doesn’t take a toll on my health(esply my lower back).

    --doesn’t make me feel exhausted

--makes me feel energetic the whole day(so I can play with my kids)

--makes me look sexy not sick (Yes!! I want my curves too but at the right proportion).

--arrests hair fall (I had very bad hair fall after I gained weight).

--makes me look beautiful (Believe me I am very bad at taking care of myself).

So, I have decided to change the way I live life. Small changes in lifestyle which I know will do good for my overall health. So decided to add a small change every month and stay consistent with it for the whole month.

If you can relate to any of the things I told above. I want you to join me in the change so that we all motivate ourselves. I know together we can change ourselves for good.

So, let's start the change with the simplest things....
    • 30 days of 3 liters of water...
I know it may sound simple but I personally start it and discontinue it after 2 days...but now I am going to stick for 30 days...
    • No sweets after 4 PM.
    • No food after 6PM
    • Walking at least for 30 mins a day...
I know this is way too much..but let's do it...we are already a step closer now..planning is done...just need to execute it...

    Hi Tinapriya..

Good to see that u know ur problem and are taking it in ur hands to find the solution.

First of all i would say love urself the way u are. But if there is something that u want to change, then we should stop cribbing and start acting. I have seen some ladies who always crib about their weight or other issues but never take any steps to solve the problem.

Tinapriya ur idea is very good. For weight issues, lifestyle changes is the only way to get in shape and then maintain it. Workouts n exercise is also needed but we cant depend on gym n gym instructors for all our life.

Though i have a normal figure, i too have adopted some lifestyle changes to be in shape. Would love to get into my favourite trousers which are just few inches away..

    1. Drink enough water. Drinking how much water depends on the seasons also. During summer u can drink lots of water, but during winters it would be sufficient to drink just enough water. We dont want to spend our whole day running to the washrooms now, do we?? So i normally drink 2 glasses of water every 3 hours till 8.p.m.

    2. Ur idea about no sweets after 4 p.m. is good. This is what i want to hang on to since i have a big sweet tooth.

    3. No food after 6 p.m. I sleep at 11 p.m. so i have my dinner by 7-7.30. Also before dinner i have a salad so that i consume less cooked food. Salads n fruits have less calories n r easily digestible. I also follow a few nutritionists on insta for their tips.

    4. Walking. I walk for an hour everyday except when some days i have to miss it like periods or some other household chores.

    5. Another lifestyle change that i want to do regularly is some form of exercise at home. Earlier i used to do yoga regularly but have missed it since a couple of months. Also if we want to taget a particular part like belly or thighs, there are many excersises to do at home without the use of gym equipment.

Well these were my thoughts. Ladies are welcome to suggest their own ideas over here.

For hair loss I would suggest getting a checkup from your general physician, if you haven’t done so already. Check your thyroid, vitamin D, ferritin and also your HbA1c.
