I am in the process of weaning my 16 month old night feed and looking for neem oil to apply.
Can anyone suggest me some trustable brand from amazon to buy. I checked in my local Indian store and they have very old stock.
With the help of honey and curd i weaned him successfully in the daytime but night time is tough.

    Dear pearldrop,

Gentle weaning is recommended. Applying neem oil amounts to harsh weaning and is not recommended .

Breastfeeding is not just for their hunger but its a emotional connect for them with their mommy. They feed for comfort and security and night feeding is mostly because the baby is Habituated . You need to break that habit.
You may want to wean your baby for various reasons . My recommendation is try to handover the baby to an alternate caregiver like your husband. When the baby wakes up for feed the caregiver needs to Rock or pat the baby back to sleep. It will take a minimum of 2 weeks to stop this habit.

Not at all judging you mumma. I'm also a feeding mother and understand the difficulty. However please don't try neem oil method.

Hi Anusha, I am just taking it slowly and not trying to stop feeding overnight. For the past 3 weeks gently i weaned him from daytime breastfeeding by applying honey or curd because he does not like the taste of both. Also i noticed after i weaned him now his daytime naps is anywhere from 1 to 2 hr previously he wakes up 2 times in 45 min nap.
My husband is of no help at all. In fact he sleeps in his room and i sleep with kids in another bedroom. Basically u can consider me as single mom except that he supports me financially.
My lil one wakes up min 5 times in the middle of night and it is making me frustrated.
Paed also suggested me to stop weaning as early as possible so that he gets sound sleep and that will help him in gaining weight As he is off the charts now. I totally understand your point but what to do i am helpless now.

    Thank you for your reply.
