    Thanks
    The money will be kept separately anyways as it is staying safely in my Sri Lankan bank account - to which I have no access from abroad :(

    The issue is, if they come back to me asking for the lumpsum, I will not be in a position to send the money back, because it is impossible (owing to the recent SL governmental decree that prohibits banks from sending money abroad due to foreign currency crisis in the country). And it will be double the trouble to access these services from abroad (I do not live in SL right now).
    And I do not have the lumpsum in my present bank account here in abroad, and I would not release a big chunk of money even if I have the means here.

    Manager was in copy in all the e-mail conversations.
    My resignation was accepted by him, and I received the performance appraisal report from him later.

    Looks like Hr department has not informed finance department/company whoever handles salary processing.
    Once they realise , they might request you to refund the amount. If it's a very big organisation they might never ask it back. If it's a small one, the erred employee will have to make good the losses.

    I remembered your post where you had mentioned that your accounts were freezed or blocked. Dont know if it was to block this salary amount from going out/being used as you are no longer in your country. Just a thought.

    It was unrelated, as it was the country's policy and it was not just limited to my account, but every sri lankan's bank accounts.

    @SGBV

    Don't worry ma at times with the request of unavoidable situations there may be alternative systems in bank

    Moreover if you keep money stable without any credit and debit transaction, as per Bank policy account will bcm freezed. I am not sure about SL bank rules of it. Kindly check with them and never let the money be as chances of money deduction as charges are more in all banks

    And let's think positive don't worry
