@Rihana I am here to nominate @Caide's snippet My Love For Sugarcane And Henna. She expressed in this snippet that the happiness in life is how we recall our memories and celebrate it in the present moment in simple activities in life. Happiness is in the mindset and one doesn't have to aim skyhigh to achieve happiness.
Sir thanks fo nominating my post. Indeed your words are true, we can find happiness in any small thing happening around us
I nominate response 12, Do Prayers Help? We think we know what we want, but what we really want is what is at the core, "peace and happiness" This response gave me perspective.
Seeing posts by @Caide after a long time. It is no wonder that two have already been nominated for FP this month. A refreshing post by @Caide: Funny Conversations Between Me And My Husband Nothing like humor or shared laughter to make a relationship stronger. I am reminded of a quote by Victor Borge: Laughter is the closest distance between two people. Caide's post reminds us about these small joys that are easy to miss or take for granted. As soon as I read the snippet, I was waiting for it to get nominated! What a lovely narration by @Caide: My Love For Sugarcane And Henna Each line of the snippet is a trigger for nostalgia but the description of a father showing a child how to eat sugarcane independently brought back a sweet rush of memories for me. Thank you Caide for this heartwarming write-up just in time for Pongal. Thank you @Laks09, @iyerviji and @Viswamitra for the nominations.
Thank you Laks for bringing this update post by @Vedhavalli to FP: Positive Vibe For My Tribe Vedhavalli has started threads related to friends and family that we all relate to and that get many responses. It is so nice to see a positive update. I have started to notice that Vedhavalli packs quite a bit of wisdom in a short post. Even the title of the the thread "Positive Vibe for My Tribe" has such an upbeat ring to it. Thank you Vedhavalli, for the threads you start and this update thread.
@Mistt, @iyerviji, @hrastro, @Viswamitra, thank you all for nominating this snippet by @nuss: Self Love And Personal Growth I honestly don't know where to begin. The snippet includes a little bit of everything for everyone. There's sibling rivalry that morphs into a gentle revelry as we grow older, there's the conversation with the hairdresser that's more than a conversation about hairstyles, and there is the always needed, much needed reminder about self-love. Self-love is not about flowers and spas, travel to exotic places, or date nights, I think to me it is accepting me and letting go of self-critics and judgments. Let go of the internalized stuff and liberate that little girl so she can fly. How true and how hard to follow consistently! I sometimes feel that if I talk to others like I talk to myself in my mind, I would soon lose all friends. : ) Thank you @nuss for taking the time to write this one. It's a snippet worth re-reading a few times each year.
