    Maybe it is midlife crisis:)

Life is quite fine and no complaints.I know I should not get greedy but this mind sometimes has its own mind lol.

    I need a change.

I studied for a manual testing course but the consulting company did not get back..anyways it’s end of the year and am trying to see what else to do..

Some things am doing right now..

    1) Decluttering and organizing the home.
    2) Small house projects..little things to fix whatever I can do myself.
    3) Brought new decor for the home.
    4) Gained some holiday pounds and working on my fitness goals.
5)Brought some nice clothes.Shopping therapy feels good.
    6) Booked a facial appointment next week.
    7) Trying to read some good books
    8) Doing advanced yoga poses
    9) Helping my spouse lose his weight which he gained back
    10) Waiting and dreaming to travel again :)

Still the heart seeks more…some random thoughts I go through..

Maybe I miss my younger days…I miss the time when I was with my friends, hanging out in malls and theatres in my hometown and eating chaat..

    Maybe not…

I just want to visit my family back in India..

I miss being a newlywed and look at at the places in America in amazement. Now everything seems done and dusted.

What do you guys do when you feel like you need a change in life?

It is mostly a vacation for us as family. Personally a spa day or girls night out with few drinks and therapy by pouring out our minds !! Reading a good book, movie or a newly made friend also cheer me up instantly.

May be you should take a short vacation.

Too much things are going in my life. I desperately need a change as well ...

We took a short trip here and there..2 hours drive and stayed in hotel.

    Exercise helps a lot

Start watching some series if you like..

You can plan 2 weeks trip to India if you're really interested..take booster shot for safer side

    Gardening or painting...

How about registering to local community events if you kid is interested..

Go to theme park (I believe you stay is USA) and enjoy!!!

Anika you resonated my thoughts very much.
Especially those points on what you miss now, very relatable. Almost two years ago my dad was diagnosed with certain health issues and very soon his health deteriorated, now he is completely weak. From then on I feel like my world changed forever. I realize now that I lived in a much happy and safe place until all these happened. As you said even I have a happy and content married life but thats not the matter here. I keep missing my childhood and teenage days and realize those were the real happy and carefree days in one's life. I too miss the new bride feeling and how all relatives and friends gathered for my wedding and how happy and healthy my parents were back then. Until 2019 my vacations to India used to be super relaxing, I had so many people to take care of my kiddo (and me). But now things changed completely, though everything seem pretty normal by now to outsiders I know its not.
Underlying reason for my grief is my parents' situation and this makes me miss my past terribly. Travelling to India is not possible right now due to various reasons but I am waiting..

The feeling of some excitement in a good way is missing..

Especially when I see some travel vlogs and pics of people hanging together, maybe youngsters pics where they look carefree makes the heart yearn for more..
I always try to Count my blessings but sometimes these feelings come
    Out..

    I understand your feelings.
I’m probably younger than you but still feel that midlife crisis thing.
I miss those younger carefree days.
I miss newly married days when my husband was good and loving and caring to me, now our relationship isn’t that good.
Now he is mean and indifferent to me and we have been going thru rough patch. I’m not so happy with my married life.
I miss being younger, slimmer, prettier, no grey hairs and fine wrinkles.
I miss my job which gave me a pretty decent salary and perks and respect in society.
Have done certifications and freelance stuff but only low paying ones. I miss having a good income.
The anxiety and uncertainty and staying new indoors due to pandemic has made me to reach midlife crisis quite early in life where I feel sad thinking of past, I feel I haven’t achieved much and have uncertainty about my future..
No chance of going for vacations now...Covid situation isn’t favourable here in India as again there is some spike in cases and new variants emerging in different states..
    Hope to feel better soon.

I am unsure how old is your kid. If they are in public school ..it's good time for you to go for lunch with your husband or somewhere you like to go
