    Day: 100 of 100 (Wednesday)
    Date: November 10, 2021
    Countdown: 1
    Time: 6:21 a.m to 6:32 a.m.
    Duration: 11 minutes
Experience: I am finally at the finish line. This discipline I practiced for the benefit of my mind has produced an excellent result. The mind is now looking forward to these sessions. Despite the hurdles and happy moments, I am able to balance myself to take them well with same mindset. It feels like in a countryside where the traffic was haywire due to vehicles moving in all directions, I have introduced a traffic light to regulate the traffic. I will come back one more time tomorrow to celebrate me completing these 100 days of posting my experiences.

    Day: Thursday
    Date: November 11, 2021
    Countdown: 0
    Time: 6:12 a.m. to 6:26 a.m.
    Duration: 14 minutes
Experience: What a delightful experience this is? It started with a casual conversation among a few ILites and finally it materialized into reality. I was wondering whether this discipline was triggered to prove a point in IL or a self-discipline my mind enjoys everyday. I woke up as usual today right after 6 a.m. and continued meditation. That gave me a great statisfaction that my mind really enjoys these sessions. Now I know even if I don't post here, this discipline will stay with me.

I would like to finish this series with a quote from the interpretation of Prasna Upanishad:

"Each organ in the body is a deity performing certain functions to help the body survive. The body is a creation in itself. It represents the entire cosmos in a minute form (microcosm). It has its own dharma, derived from the highest supreme Self Himself. The organs uphold it and share the burder of the body. They do it not only to support the body, but also to serve the soul that is hidden in it. The body is a vehicle for the soul, its Lord, and every organ in it is meant to play its dutiful role to provide enjoyment to the soul and allow it to continue its existence in a mortal form until its liberation. Feeding the body is an act of sacrifice. The food is the sacrificial offering. The body is the kshetra (field), the sacrifical pit. the offering is accepted by the digestive five vaisvanara on behalf of all other organs, just as the sacrifical fire accepts the sacrificial offerings poured into a sacrifice and apportions them among the gods according to their appointed share.

Creation has a structure and hierarchy. The deities have to settle that among themselves so that they can be functionally effective and keep their chain of command flowing. The organs in the body, which are supposed to function as a team, went through this storming and norming process by challenging each other and eventually accepted prana as superior among them. Prana is superior to the bodily organs because it sustains life in the body. The bodily organs depend upon it, since it facilitates the flow of the Vaisvanara fire in the body and the distribution of food among them. We know that the body cannot survive, if breath departs from it. So is the case with all the bodily parts. They cannot survive if breath departs from the body. Without prana, they will be reduced into the five basic elements (mahabhutas)."

Therefore, when I initiated meditation, I considered that as an expression of gratitude for five breaths and all of the organs that cohesively utilize breath and contribute by performing their roles in the body.

    :cheer::cheer::cheer:

Note: My best wishes to those who currently log in their meditation effort here and those who are planning to post here. Let these small steps bring the best in all our lives.

    What a fantastic finish ! Thanks @Viswamitra

I have not sat down for a session since Sunday. With a sick and clingy kid at home, many things fly out the window. But the yearning is there, the longing is very real. This realization that I cannot continue living the way I have lived so far, caught like a helpless dry-leaf in the gusts of wind that life's vicissitudes throw at you. Chasing one mirage after the other and desperately hoping that someone or something outside me can give the security and consistency and peace that I so long far. The humor in that sentence is ironical but true, kind of a dark comedy. The fear that I will go through cycle after cycle without taking a long and hard look at the hidden but revealing contents of my mind. That fear is real.

Therefore I will sit down soon again. My best wishes to you. Take care.

    Day 20,21 : slipped.
    Day 22: 11-11-2021
    Duration : 30 mins
    Time : 11 pm to 11 30 pm
Experience : nope I won't skip 3 days in a row. Then I'll have to start again.i was dreading this 30 mins practice . That's the reason I skipped for 2 days. With baby's sleep all over the place , waking same time everyday is hard . Then I have my wake up routine. So when I opened calm app and went to my deep concentration series it was hard to dedicate 30 mins as the last session in my series was for 30mins. Then demotivated I would procrastinate even the daily 10mins medition. But tonight I was determined to finish it. I was dreading the 30 mins part. I told myself it's okay if I fail but I'll try anyways.
So I sat after ending my day and at bedtime.I was exhausted but I tried. It was hard to focus on breadths for 30 mins. And especially this series it's breadth focussing on a small area below the nostril. I felt sleepy, sub conscious mind was throwing some random thoughts but I was trying trying hard to focus on breadth. AND I DID IT. MY FIRST 30 MINS MEDITATION.

    Day 23:
    Date : 12-11-2021
    Time : 6 30 to 6 40 pm
    Duration 12 mins
Experience: I started new series of meditation. It's self care. I love choosing one series after another in the app. The motivating words they tell during the session is something I look forward to. The small exercises they tell is wonderful.
This was after my gym workout, already I was feeling good with rush of feel good hormones. Meditation was an icing on cake. It was peaceful.

    Day 24:
    13-11-2021
    Time : 11 30 to 11 40 pm
    Duration : 10 mins.
Experience: as part of the self care , today's meditation theme was failure. Enjoyed the session though I had just finished a minor dialogue (disagreement with my husband) regarding a topic and my mind was a bit disturbed by it.
It was important for me to walk away from having any further dialogue and prioritise mt meditation as it was getting late:) I could not be 100 % alert but it was better than skipping altogether.

    Day 25:
    14-11-2021
    Duration : 10 mins
    Time : 11 45-11 55 pm
Experience : A bedtime meditation to make sure practice isn't skipped. Not very great as mind was filled with thoughts and towards the end I realised I was not aware of any thoughts, I had not slept either. So kind of middle ground of a thoughtless state . : )

    Day 26:
    15-11-2021
    Duration : 10 mins
Experience : I was feeling a bit sick and had to suffer from terrible stomach pain but didn't want to skip meditation. I was listening to calming music ,lying down and trying to be conscious of the breadths . I slipped into a sleep during this and woke up to feel better.

    Day 27:
    16-11-2021
    Duration : 10 mins
Experience : As part of my self care series I finish my fitness routine and sit for 10 mins meditation. I found a calming place in the yoga and meditation room in our clubhouse and had a peaceful 10 mins of deep inhalation and exhalation. After a good workout I find it very easy to finish meditation . Get a feeling of completion.

    Day 28:
    17-11-2021
    Duration : 10 mins
Experience : After putting my baby to bed I wanted to finish up some studies. So before sitting for studies I finished 10 mins of focus meditation . It really helps to calm the mind and sit without distraction.

    Day 29:
    18-11-2021 :
    Duration 10 mins
    Time : 5 30-5 40
Experience: yet another day of post workout meditation. Feel so much calm to exercise n then meditate n get back home. Some how when I exercise I'm so much focussed on doing what in doing n then it's so much easier to concentrate on the breadths while I sit for meditation.
Totally I feel peaceful n accomplished to do that meditation post workout.

    Day 30 :19-11-2021
    Duration : 10 mins.
Experience : I knew with festival celebration I may skip workout and then mediation will also get skipped. So I finished it as soon as I woke up. Just 10 mins a mental plan of my day. Not very great to do the first thing in the morning as mind is all over the place on that day's activities but I try my best to come back to the breadths.

    Day 31: 20-11-2021 .
    Duration : 15 mins.
Experience: I hadn't carried the mobile to the gym so could not use the calm app. But after work out I did go to the meditation room and sat with my husband and we kept a timer and started to just sit calm and concentrate on the breathing. Fews thoughts here and there but overall good session for me with my hubby . He complains he is not able to find concentrate and he gets too many thoughts. But I guess I'm no perfect yet to give him tips, all I said was consistent practice is the key.
