I feel making Kachori is an art. I haven't eaten good Kachori in US. Samosas as compared, its hard to mess up. Lot of places have decent one. Just IMO

I’m a vegetarian and try to take something that I know I will be able to eat!

I haven’t seen Kala jamun around but I love those!

Some of the vegetarian snacks that work every single time in my non- Indian gatherings are:

-Samosa (always a good choice )
-You can try gol guppas as an experiment (filled with simple gol Gupta mix or Moscow mule or gin and tonic or a tamarind based cocktail….. my friends can’t get enough of them).
    - Fritters (my favorite are purple cabbage fritters)
    -Poha
-as others said- gulab jamuns are the only Indian sweet that everyone loves!
Since you are going to be Mimosa lady, you can also bring Pineapple and mango juices.. both go well with champagne and make interesting mimosas.

I don’t like it at all but seems like that’s the consensus!

I didn't know about tamarind based cocktails! Don't recall seeing in a menu and none of even my hatke friends have served it already. : ) A casual search turned up an easy one: https://showmetheyummy.com/tamarind-margarita-recipe/

Filling a gole guppa with anything other than mint-coriander-tamarind-cumin-ginger water is a cool idea!

Will start the ingredients shopping slowly and be ready by thanksgiving. : )
