Day: 87 of 100 (Thursday) Date: October 28, 2021 Time: 6:04 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. Duration: 11 minutes Experience: Watching breathing is a great exercise for the mind. It reveals to the mind a great lesson that take whatever is needed and let everything out. Retaining more than what is needed for simple life is poisonous. When thoughts are owned and nurtured, it establishes a mindset to exploit the world instead of giving to the world. If I hold my thoughts as a trustee, they keep a distance from me, and establishes a principle that consequences of my actions arising from my thoughts don't belong to me either. I feel it is the best way to overcome my impulsive and emotional reactions, avoid my mind controlling me, and analyze the experiences I encounter unbiased to search for the truth.
Day: 88 of 100 (Friday) Date: October 29, 2021 Time: 6:04 a.m. to 6:14 a.m. Duration: 10 minutes Experience: A quiet and calm meditation session. I am so happy that I am able to wake up earlier and the mind is so focused on breathing. I came to the conclusion when I look to master something, only thing that helps is to practice again and again. It feels like mind belongs to my peaceful nature as opposed to its independent attitude filled with impulses and emotions.
Day: 89 of 100 (Saturday) Date: October 30, 2021 Tme: 4:07 a.m. to 4:17 a.m. Duration: 10 minutes Experience: I had to attend a wedding in Zoom from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. and could not get to sleep until 4 a.m. I tried to do meditation to calm my mind down and it worked. I slept again for 3 more hours and woke up only at 7:35 a.m. If it can regulate itself to go to sleep at those odd hours, now I know, it can regulate itself over many things.
Day 8,Day 9: skipped. I told myself if I skip 3 days in a row. I'll start again thank god I bounced back the third day. Day 10: 30-10-2021 Time : 6 am to 6 10 am Duration : 10 mins. Experience : My husband is motivated to meditate and sat with me for meditation. That's a win for me. I shared one of Gauri's message on mindful meditation. We started and respectively went on with our goals to concentrate on the breadth. I'm getting better with my concentration with the breathing. Mind had some thoughts but quickly I was able to pull back to the breadths. Day 11: 31-10-2021 . Time 4 50:5:00 am Duration : 10 mins. Experience: I started a new series of the "deep concentration". Today the focus was on a particular area . A small area around the nostril. I wanna compete this series to perform better at work. It was difficult honestly but I'm ready to do this deep concentration series. Let's see how it goes
Day: 90 of 100 (Sunday) Date: October 31, 2021 Time: 6:00 a.m. to 6:12 a.m. Duration: 12 minutes Experience: As the mind looks forward to the meditation sessions, waking up early becomes easier most days. The mind loses track of time elapsed during meditation and I don't even recognize what triggers the end of meditation sessions. When the mind's agitation stops, the mind is at ease and enjoys that period when it is not undergoing stress and strain. I wish I can extend it throughout the day. Tomorrow count down for the last 10 days will begin. I mean, posting here in IL. I will continue meditation but without posting it here. I am glad I didn't miss a single day in the last 90 days.
Dear @Viswamitra How I would love for you to keep posting your meditation logs ! I read it religiously everyday, treat it as a mental bait and tell myself to stick to the introspection everyday. 100 can be different quantities in different numerical systems, if that helps.
No doubt philosopher of & at Indusladies @Viswamitra is a phenomenon and know for steadfast adherent to practice to perfection toward the century. All the best. I love the way @MadhuRK posted her appreciation in awe here. Happy Deepavali/Diwali. Regards.
Day: 91 of 100 (Monday) Date: November 1, 2021 Count down: 10 Time: 7:17 a.m. to 7:28 a.m. Duration: 11 minutes Experience: I was not sure whether it is the cold front or the sadness experienced in my favorite Indian cricket team and Buccaneers Football team both losing the game on the same day, I slept so much all night from 11 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. That is a lot of inertia. But as soon as I woke up, the mind was dominated with the meditation. I jumped out of the bed right away and sat down in the Lotus posture with my back straight. The meditation brought a fresh perspective to a new day that began and made my mind to look forward to all the experiences I would gain during the day. A big mountain is climbed one step at a time and at least it is a good feeling that I am climbing up. The summit is something I look forward to and it is in front of my mind's eye. Silencing the mind from agitation is the best way, the journey becomes easier and enjoyable. Thank you @MadhuRK and @Thyagarajan Sir for your kind words. @MadhuRK, I read your first post which explained your fascination for meditation when you have not yet finished three and half decades of your life. There isn't a day pass by without me thinking how I missed all these at that age. Keep up the great work you are already doing.
Day 12: 01-11-2021 Duration : 15 mins Time : 6 40 to 6 55 am Experience: for the first time I did for 15 mins. It wasn't hard at all. The deep concentration series had a 15 mins meditation today. Like a 100 times mind was distracted but I pulled back every single time it wandered. Deep concentration includes concentrating on the breadth on a single small portion. Like the portion beneath the nostril. Very helpful indeed to remain focussed n concentrate on your day to day activities.
Day 13: 02-11-2021 Duration : 20 mins Time : 10 30 to 10 50 am Experience: Okay the progress is from yesterday's 15 mins it was 20 mins today . I was a bit low on my work. Plus wake up meditation I missed . So i started to meditate at 10 30 am . It was for 20 mins . I thought I can't do it but I anyway tried . It was wonderful. I did doze for like after 7 - 8 mins . Because deep concentration meditation for 20 is a big leap for me . But I woke up and just continued with the breathing and felt good .
