Dear moderators: I would like to nominate @beautifullife30's very practical response in one of my recent threads Preparing For A Move. Words can not explain how she made me feel empowered when I was so confused and uncertain before making an important decision in life. I followed each and every word that she has described in that post, and guess what.... I was able to convince my mom, and make her do the same with my brother too. Wooah... what a relief. I may be good at managing people at work, but when it comes to my family I often need experienced people like you all to guide and help to navigate things like this. You never know the impact you create in someone's life despite being unanimous here. This needs appreciation !!
Thanks @Mistt , @iyerviji ma and @Anusha2917 for the nominating my thread here. I am humbled Love you all
I am here to nominate @nuss' response to @srajitha Putting The Happy Face. I am shocked to hear what all @srajitha had gone through and she needs a solid support from the community to overcome her ordeal. Nuss has provided rock solid suggestions as to how to go about the situation having experienced it herself.
My Dear Viji, thank you for bringing this valuable and important post by @venkiis to FP. A really good find by you given that it was posted in early August. Response in What Are The Steps To Take For Divorce Venkiis has responded point by point to the fears, worries and misgivings shared by OP there. The nominated post also serves as a comprehensive list of do’s and don’ts for any one contemplating divorce in the U.S. For people of Indian origin, such a list is even more eye-opening as they are unfamiliar with the way family court functions. Two suggestions in the post that stood out especially were about keeping passports and education certifications in a separate inaccessible location, and remembering that lawyers are not your friend. Actually, every caution in the post is worth byhearting.
@Mistt, thank you for nominating this inspiring and upbeat narration by @SGBV - Life Is A Matter Of Choices!!! A vivid narration of a young girl’s dreams that she turned into reality by the dint of her hard work. The hospital scene that stayed on in the 12 year old’s mind, the uncle who nurtured that interest, and the supporting family are all described beautifully as we read the snippet eagerly, at each step impatient to know about the life journey’s next step. It ends with a simple message for young people and their parents. Thank you @iyerviji and @Anusha2917 for seconding this worthy nomination.
