Dear All In this part of India, schools reopened today after months of staying at home. This is the first time I witness in my life young kids rush into the school in a highly chirpy mood. There is laughter and merriment all around. I remember how my elder brother would drag the teary-eyed me into the school! Corona may have a hundred faults but it has certainly made children desperate to go to school. Talking of children, I am now like a child in a massive toy shop. I have been given the freedom to buy the best toy, but that’s precisely what is causing me trouble. I have twenty of the finest ones, challenging me to choose the best of them. I scratch my bald head like a mad monkey, not being able to decide which one to select. I wish I had a planchette now to help me in choosing the Finest Post. Trolling intrigues me a lot. I try hard to understand the mindset of trollers. There may be a hundred reasons why people troll, but the most important of them all is frustration. They may not be in a position to voice their views openly in real life. They may be either too timid or they may be living in a very oppressive atmosphere. Anika987 has explored this malady very practically. Congratulations @anika987 for winning the finest post of August 2021. Your responses are as interesting as your original post which obviously get the best attention from ILites. Your response here was very powerful. Standing up for the self-esteem is the right of a woman no matter whether she works or not. Bullying a woman whether it is done by men or women is ridiculous knowing their contributions. Recognizing their contributions is important but unfortunately, many fail to do so. I went and looked up what is a planchette. : ) Anika has indeed explored the issue in a practical way. I reread the post a couple of times again now after its FP win. I was struck by how the problem has been analyzed from all aspects, from the POVs of all involved, yet it does not take the lame way out of dividing the blame among all and blandly advocating for live and let live. It suggests simple steps for people to protect themselves. It also lists possible reasons for trolling yet doesn't judge them. Instead it gives: "Everyone’s mindset and how they understand things are different." Congratulations Anika. Well-written and highly well-deserved FP. Take a few moments to freely blush at the high praise sure to come your way with this win. : )
