If like I did, you are wondering what is Tile, this is what it does:

    What is Tile?
Tile is a Bluetooth device that helps you locate everyday essentials during your daily routine, removing little inconveniences, and helping you stay organized so you can do your best and focus on what matters. Our versatile finders can slide, stick or attach to anything from your keys to your wallet, phone, passport, laptop, pets, and more!

    How does Tile work?
During set up, the Tile app on your smartphone "discovers" the Bluetooth enabled Tile and establishes a connection. Tile then uses the location services of your smartphone to communicate location information to the app.

What type of ways can I find my Tile?
Tile has three main finding features. You can:
    1. Ring your Tile from the Tile app when it is within Bluetooth range.
    2. View the last known location of your Tile using the map on the Tile app.
    3. Enable ‘Notify When Found’ to enlist the help of the Tile Network to locate your Tile.

What devices are compatible with Tile?
    Apple Devices
If you have an iOS device running iOS 13 or newer, Tile is compatible with:

    • iPhone 6s or newer
    • iPad (Regular, Pro, and Mini)
    Android Devices
If you have an Android running Android 8.0 or newer, Tile is officially compatible with:

    • Google Pixel/ XL One or newer
    • Samsung Galaxy S6 or newer
    • Samsung Note 8 or newer
    • OnePlus 3 or newer
    • Nexus 5x or newer

    @Rihana,

I have an identified location for all electronic devices including phone. When the phone is not in person, it is kept at the same place for charging. Therefore, I never needed a location service so far. It is a little bit old-fashioned system but effective. I don't keep the phone on the table or any other place when I go to places and it is always in my pocket.

Thank you Viswa. I do the same for phone.

The Tile kind of trackers are also used for things like jackets, wallet, room keys, car keys, important binders, camera, laptop, bicycle, backpack, ear phones. I was wondering if it is really useful for these or becomes one more gizmo and app to manage.

Once upon a time, I had that Tile. Then it ran out of battery. Never replaced it. Apparently there is one with a replaceable battery now. I think it is useful. However keys should be attached to some hook/clasp in the bag; boys can put them on a lanyard and attach to belt-loops in pants.
