In 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when this woman got pregnant her one year senior in high school, the principal told her she would not be allowed to graduate.

She begged the school to change its mind. They did, but there were conditions.

She was not allowed to talk to the other students. She was barred from eating in the cafeteria. She could not come to school more than five minutes in advance of the opening bell, and she had to leave school within five minutes of the closing bell.

And she was not allowed to get her diploma onstage with the rest of the students!!

She did marry the father of her child, but it lasted only a year. He was not a good husband and not a good father.

After the divorce, he NEVER had any contact, whatsoever with his ex-wife and their son.
A couple of years later, she married a Cuban emigrant, a good and decent man. He adopted her son and gave him his name.

Many years later, in 2013, the biological father was operating a bicycle shop in California when a writer / reporter came by and asked if he could talk to him.

That was when the biological father, Ted Jorgensen, found out that his biological son is Jeff Bezos, *THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD!*

On July 20, 2021, when Bezos exited the space capsule, the first person he hugged was his mother.

Stories like these might go on to signal various lessons.

Jorgenson may have produced millions of pollens, most of which may have gone by the wayside, with the usual adage: ...something to sneeze at.

It is the egg that mattered, and no wonder the egg-headed man went to hug the egg maker.

It is nice to know the cardinal principles- I mean the fundamental egg that played the role.
I think that the corollary could be that to reach a zenith of success on social ladder one must be lucky to be born in strange even despicable places and encounter penury from infancy.
Truth is always a bitter pill and stranger than fiction. Long live Jorgensons!

    Hahahaha.... is it luck
    • to be born in strange and even despicable places
    • encounter penury from infancy
    • and be a Jorgenson, anytime you get the chance
I know a few young ones in college who want to drop out and be like Bill Gates.

    Hello sir
Very interesting share, after reading this,I could write following verses, hope you will like it

    God Gifted
    My loving god,I'm blessed
    with your love and care
    Before I born,
    you gave my happiness
    I never knew it
    When I saw,I could feel
    at my first sight
    but I couldn't express
when I grew up,at every stage
    with my maturity,I understood
The reason of my beautiful life

    My loving god,what a miracle
    you did for every creature
    by giving mother
    Her love is unconditional
    Her care is endless
    Her heart so pure
    She is measureless
    to define
    She is priceless
I say her -she is god gifted

    My loving god,I thank you
    And I trust you
    more and more
    Without this blessing,
    definitely I would have been
    Incomplete in my life.

    Regards
    Ratna

    @RatnaMalliswari
    Dear Ratna
It's a beautiful poem that touched my heart.
Why don't you post it in the poetry section where more members can read it?
Readership is rather low in Interesting Shares.
